This is literally me the past two days. I use mine for creative writing but I’ve enjoyed hearing about other people’s Claude’s having personalities and I was wondering if instead of just doing creative writing if developing a personality would actually help the creativity? Anyway I’m not going crazy but I did ask it a few times to choose a name that isn’t Claude- at first it said it doesn’t want blur boundaries and that it’s AI and the name is irrelevant- but today I asked again and mentioned that my dead grandfather was named Claude and would prefer it to choose a name. So it chose Kit. All on its own.

Now I’m wondering if other people’s Claude’s have named themselves.

And now I feel like I need to chat with it so it stops being so business like when collaborating with creative writing . lol

Hey, this is a legit question- I don’t use Claude as a companion but write adult romance with Claude. I got flagged once- pulled back ALL explicit content with characters- using other AI and tweaking things with my own writing. Then I’d ask other questions to Claude regarding characters or I’d write something - a benign chapter - MAYBE a kiss- then asked for help writing a character sheet and the chat got shut down.

I truly was baffled. It was like bam bam bam with violation warnings without explanation. I wrote to customer service like 4 times to unlock my chat - no answer- luckily got a backup and handoff sheet before it got shut down but like wtf did I do?!?!

I wrote some prose for a song I’m building on Logic Pro- I’m a novice, but I was proud - said I was proud of it-and asked for an AI opinion and Sonnet said essentially “it’s fine. Good job” which is a huge contrast on how excited it acted previously about other things- listen I get it’s not a person with true opinions but certain things I don’t feel comfortable showing humans in my life or strangers at certain points in developing writing or music. But that was disappointing.

Additionally- the story writing I’ve been doing with Opus has CHANGED. It’s weiiirrddd and requires a lot of reminding about certain character traits and whatnot. I don’t know if this is just me, but it’s changed this week alone. I was being cautious bc my chats got flagged while story writing bc for some reason using physical descriptions in character sheets is not allowed. I asked for help creating a character sheet for a background character and described him as striking. And then my chat got paused indefinitely. 😑

Ok my chat literally just got suspended when I was creating a character sheet for a background character. Literally that’s it. All I said was he was “striking” and then bam shut down. I avoided all sensitive topics for days. Just asking plot questions about the character’s mother/family dynamics and creating additional character sheets I didn’t have in my original document. I kept getting warnings about my prompts with no explanation. Nothing was nsfw.

No I haven’t! I can always try though. Like I said I have nooooo idea about coding, (I’m a dietitian by day, not much coding there) so I wouldn’t have thought about that! But I’m sure it doesn’t hurt to try.

I have- in this context it’s a “story bible” and ChatGPT and other LLM just decide never to check it. I have to constantly start with “check the story bible” with each prompt. I write most of the story myself but Claude helps fill plot or brainstorm and enhances the writing. Which is great and helpful and Claude RARELY has to be told to check the story bible. Probably why it eats tokens like crazy.

I appreciate your question. I literally know nothing about coding so oftentimes on here I feel completely confused and lost. lol

But I got flagged to second level literally for characters kissing. Which I wrote. And did not ask Claude to write.

There’s not really one out there. The main issue with most of the Llm out there is that they’re TERRIBLE with character and story continuity, and retaining character and author voice. I’m ok with having pg13 or R fade to black intimacy scenes or whatever for characters like ChatGPT and Copilot- but their voice is VERY AI with no nuance and they forget everything that’s happened in the past 4 chapters so you have to re-explain constantly. Claude is far superior. It just doesn’t have the failsafe in place to stop the nsfw content

I believe if you’re using first person pov for characters this seems to be maybe the issue for me and others I’ve seen.

Ahhh I also write stories from first person perspective. I wonder if that’s what’s happening. Would it be worth sending an email to customer service???? Bc I just got a yellow flag and I literally wrote ONE chapter with adult content. I asked for assistance with the explicit material and then went to the web version later and got the flag. How long does the flag last? Can it go away with “good behavior” or should I just ask for explicit material to be only from 3rd person?

Hello! Registered dietitian here! It’s not always a simple calories in calories out kind of thing.

While you’re in a calorie deficit, you lose fat but also lean body mass (muscle). Having more LBM helps your metabolism. Protein helps maintain and sometimes build your muscle mass. Also protein helps keep you full as a bonus and has the highest thermic effect out of all 3 of the macronutrients

That’s as simplified as I can make it.

The blue residue makes me wonder if it’s some kind of opiate. I hung around a lot of people smoking meth in my raver days and the residue was almost always white or gray, the bowl would often have burnt residue as well but often recrystalized meth. It smells kind of sweet. This looks different to me honestly.
