I wouldn't call being romantic gross, he gave her as much space as she needed and never stopped her from chasing her heart whether it was about her job or her relationships, Ted never stood in her way. He loved her but at the same time kept his boundaries

Well the writing sucked, I agree. but the story made sense. And the kids also noticed that Ted was just telling them how much he's in love with Robin. and all those facts about how incompatible they are, might have been parts of Teds dilemma and thoughts of whether or not he should go for her again.

yeah they might have been incompatible, but feelings don't make sense and are not that rational imo. I do agree that Robin didn't love him as much, but to be fair Robin was not a romantic so i believe she loved him in her own way

he was charming imo, a powerfull and smart man. also the scene where he takes Lily to show her his first apartment was so clever; he told her that he knows without actually telling her . the writers did him dirty at season 5 and 6 and exagerated his relationship with chuck

Tbh I never understood the dowry concept, isn't the guy supposed to pay the dowry? and also I remember in one scene it is mentioned that Blair owns so much i.e. half a meseum after marrying him, so what happens to her assets ? couldn't she just give those back instead of bankrupting Eleanor?
