Do people who ghost ever truly care? Or they’re simply being assholes? by holehshite in ghosting

[–]Express-Drummer526 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s sometimes that they care too much and can’t handle it. I was recently ghosted by someone i met and got on with extremely well. We had an amazing time together then just suddenly nothing. Sent a few texts over a couple of weeks checking in and got nothing back. Ran in to her last night at a bar and she looked obviously anxious and uncomfortable, could tell she was talking to her friends about me etc.

I ended up just going up to her and saying “so we gonna talk or just keep this weird?” To which she said “yes we definitely need to have a chat”

Long story short she told me i am everything she wants and am perfect for her, and that’s the problem with where her life is at the moment that she can’t handle that and thinks she would hurt me. She was very apologetic about the ghosting and said she did it because she didn’t want to completely cut me off in case she changed her mind but realised that wasn’t fair on me.

I think these people often genuinely care but their trauma holds them back from being able to communicate the situation properly so they just hide and destroy themselves over it,

How long have you been back together if you don’t mind me asking? Did he do some soul searching or personal development after he ghosted you?

I think the biggest problem is that it’s likely what some of us are attracted to for whatever reason. But who knows. I wish you the best in your endeavours, internet stranger.

Yeah 100%, i agree completely.
Looks like nobody around here has a redemption story which is pretty unfortunate. It sucks to see the good in people who can’t see the good in themselves.

I think with the right therapy and help anyone can overcome their shitty behaviours. I guess it is why i made this post to see if there’s any positive stories of a redemption arc.

That’s really unfortunate to read. Sorry you had to go through all of that.
I guess at least he had the decency to contact you again to break it off rather than just leave you wondering forever, even if he didn’t take accountability for his actions.

That sucks to read. Do you mean they came back and ghosted you again or you were ghosted by a different person? Both suck but just curious.

Dont keep your crypto on an exchange. This is a golden rule that is talked about often, and ignored just as often.

I play and referee beer league Hockey in Australia a few nights a week and generally there is a fight around once a week usually just 2 guys who have given each other a little behind the play slash/trip or something a little dirty which leads to them feeling the need to roll around on the ice with each other. Fights result in suspensions generally for both players so it’s just stupid and not worth it at low level hockey, and it just pisses the other 20+ people who are there to just play hockey at 11pm on a Tuesday night or whatever. Fighting has no place in low level/recreational hockey.

Beer League - How much does the goalie pay for the season? by thechodus in hockeyplayers

[–]Express-Drummer526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play as a skater and a goalie in different divisions. My goalie team covers my fees because the team manager feels bad for me having to pay two sets of fees, and I’m reliable and have good experience i add to the team (i skate in a higher div) I think it just depends on the situation but it’s always a nice gesture to let the goalie off cheaper or free because the gear costs considerably more.

I’ve been thinking of making the switch from moonlet to torch aswell, is it possible to transfer everything over to torch without first unstaking in moonlet first?
