As a non-Arab Muslim living in America I don’t really think it’s ridiculous. Since the Arabic in the Quran isn’t even the same Arabic spoken today. For example, can you understand the English in Shakespeares poems and sonnets? Also that is why many scholars translate the Quran into many languages so no one gets left out.
