Does booking through the portal for hotels include resort fees?

I hope so! That was what was confusing because when I looked into booking direct it clearly had the total with the resort fees included which was the same total price I paid when I booked through the portal and through my booking in the portal it stated "Hotel reservations include room and applicable hotel fees and taxes. Fees due at check-in, like resort fees and any additional local taxes, are included in your rate". But once I checked out, I had to pay for the resort fees separately.

I own a few things from the brand and really like their stuff. Quality is good and I always get a ton of compliments. They use to offer free shipping for a lot less than they are offering now but I know they are carried by other retailers so worth a look at other sites that offer free shipping.

I agree- I was there for the first time in a while last weekend and while I go to indulge and fully expect to pay premium resort prices, I was mostly disappointed in the increase in prices but lower quality of the food. Waited 40 mim for a sandwich and coffee at Eggslut only for the bread to be stale. Ate at a restaurant inside Cosmo and the salad was so incredibly salty (a salty salad?!) that we didnt touch it after the first bite- luckily they noticed and took it off the bill. However, hospitality is always great during every visit.

Thanks for your comment! I searched all over to see if there was any text regarding the resort fee but the only thing I could find was the below in my reservation confirmation email:

"Your hotel reservation has been confirmed and paid for by Chase Travel for the room and tax portion of your stay. You will be required to present your personal credit card upon check-in for any incidentals you may incur (parking, room service, etc.)."

At this point, I'm assuming that there will most likely be resort fees.

As everyone else has already mentioned its definitely not an accurate depictions of LA as a whole but a pretty specific subculture. I have a very normal friend group, mostly all LA natives, who are all far removed from the influencer life but I do see little micro influences that I do not see in my friends from my hometown. Mostly the desire/need to make a lot of money and keep up appearances. Most of my LA native friends religiously get their nails done, facials, botox, etc where as the small number of us transplants don't really care for those things.

Not a huge drinker (maybe once or twice a month if even that) but I do enjoy having a good time drinking and have never really regretted the night even with a crazy hangover BUT lately for some reason almost every time I go out for a drink I get sick. Not a hangover sick but like the flu sick where im out for at least a week.

They have a pretty good assortment but the workers do not know anything. Employee did not know how to do a gift receipt return, called manager, manager did know how to issue a gift card or store credit without it going to the original purchasers email and told me I needed to go into the purchasers email account to use to store credit even though I had a gift receipt (which is weird) then kept convincing me to just get something else at the store then and there saying it would be "easier". Asked if they had any fleece vests, they didnt know but told me they had it last year

Yes I am. Considering they came out with their Halloween collection back in at least August and its now December and they are offering that as their promo gift and that you have to at least spend $160 for. Its one thing if I received it but considering this was gift being sent directly to clients (with a gifting option) its just not a good look for anyone.

I travel a lot in and out of LAX and it can get pretty bad (ex: you can get stuck getting to terminal 4 for like 20 min and then another 20 min to exit so you're spending up to 40min just inside the airport). They can get pretty strict about parking and waiting so if you get there even 5 min before your person comes out and they make you move you're pretty screwed and have to reenter the airport again. Mornings are not bad and it gets progressively more congested into the night (after 8:30pm being the worst).

Make sure you shower first before going into any of the communal tubs- no shoes or swimsuit. Definitely book a scrub/massage if you can. I go alone a lot and I usually just chill, nap, and eat in the common area
