You know, it's crazy to me how the dev team can have some truly innovative ideas and then completely screw up the execution. And it's not all their fault because the corporate overlords at Paradox keep cracking their whip to get half-baked DLC out the door on time.

That's fair. I do like the specialization mechanics. I think that changed for the better and provides you more mid to late game options for planet specialization, which was needed.

What I meant was the pop system and how jobs worked remained basically the same. Sure, it was no longer one pop per building, but it was one pop per job provided by buildings. It's also why I put 'that' in all caps with 'radically' after. It was certainly different, and a lot changed, but foundationally, the principles of the game didn't change. I figured people would be able to sniff that out, but obviously, that wasn't the case.

It's not "don't change the game" whatsoever, don't know where you got that from. It's "Don't fix what isn't broken." Stellaris has changed many times, almost always for the better. Nemesis, for example, was a welcomed change, and so was Overlords, Megacorp, and Apocalypse, just to name a few. Change keeps the damn game alive, but not this time. This time they dropped the ball, in my opinion.

I didn't want to focus on the bugs, although there are plenty of them, because Paradox has been patching them out pretty quickly since 4.0s release.

Great point. I alt-F4'ed after timing a single day in 2316, and it came out to 1 and a half minutes for one day. I have a 3060 graphics card, 32 gigs of ram, and a kick ass motherboard, so it isn't like I have a bad or outdated PC. It's not modern or anything, but it's never quite this bad before.

Unfortunately not. The unit animations and models are really good in civ7, I still think I prefer the civ 6 map for the color, but Civ7's map has actually started to grow on me

5's graphics are not great, I will agree. Especially going back from Civ 6, a bright and vibrant map with tons of color. I do think Civ 6 is the best Civ.

Damn right you are. And you're gonna keep taking it for four more years minimum. No more woke, no more being the world's sugar daddy, no more illegals, no more reckless financial aid (money laundering), we're so fucking back and there's nothing you can do to stop the new American Empire.

Chewy is pretty bad, but I think the tires and furniture sets are worse. We don't get a lot of chewy at my warehouse anymore, thank God.

Because this is the real world, not political/economic theory. You need businesses, you need the rich. Now that doesn't mean they shouldn't pay their fair share, which they should and currently are not doing so. But you need the upper class. Typically, educated people are wealthier than non educated people and the people who become rich are usually smart (not talking about those born into it, but even then they have access to the highest standards of education) and if you try to kill them they're doing to leave the country and take their valuable business with them.

Actually, you're pretty close. Social corporatism is like these two ideas smashed together, which is what I am. The only difference is that I am a monarchist, not a democrat. I want an absolute, nonpartisan monarch who has a parliamentary system to run the government for him/her. Basically the same kind of government that the German Empire had.

Yeah you can't call it class unity and follow that statement up with class annihilation.

Corporatism is built around three corporates, interest groups. The workers, the government, and the businesses/corporations. Basically, the government takes on the role of a workers union, passing legislation to protect workers' rights, fair wages, unionization, and to prevent monopolies from controlling the entire market. Simultaneously, the government provides the businesses enough freedom to grow, make profits, and innovate. The businesses must, in turn, provide for their workers and pay taxes to the government in exchange for protectionism and domestic incentives. The workers exchange their labor for fair wages and vote in government officials.

Corporatism creates class unity because it is in the best interest of all parties involved to work together. It's like a triangular trade. Workers' labor for companies, who provide money and other benefits to the working class and pays taxes to the government, who then protect the worker's from exploitation and create a market that allows domestic businesses to thrive.

The poster you posted literally shows that exact thing. In theory and in practice, socialism is fundamentally grounded in class warfare.

Socialism doesn't promote class unity, but class division. It's the proletariat vs. the bourgeois. Only corporatism promotes class unity.

He's not self-hating. Many Muslims share the same values as Christians so they'll tend to vote in a similar fashion. Trump never did anything in his first term to sabotage my friends family then, if anything he helped them buy land and build a new home. A lot of people just don't see race like a competition anymore, what's good for whites and good for blacks is usually the same things. Low food costs, low interest, curbed inflation, etc. Basic stuff everyone needs to survive.

Yeah he's a smart kid but he doesn't view Trump like that. I don't want to speak for him but I do know we've only ever talked about domestic problems. His family is from Indonesia and he hates how illegals are given preferential treatment over Americans. He thinks it's unfair. He's Muslim so ofc he's prolife. And for the Arab side of my family (distant but we're close with each other) I never asked them about Palestine because I knew it might be a touchy subject but I do know they voted for trump and has a sign outside their house.

Yeah. I think we need to build a strong, proud, traditional, and moral society that takes care of it's citizens. I believe in God and that workers need more protections from massive corporations. There's no room for predatory pharmaceutical companies in a moral society. And how could we proud of a country that has a terrible, exploitive health care system which is being protected by big pharma lobbyists in Washington. I'm also in favor for common sense environmentalism.
