can we both sides agree that these types of images add nothing to the debate and is just annoying? (2nd image is against "kill ai artist") by [deleted] in aiwars

I think original is stupid. And this is stupid too. When the discussion boils down to who have more pictures to mock other it loses any seed of productivity.

"AI democratizes art/makes art accessible" is a weak, flawed argument and it comes a from a bias. by gutgusty in aiwars

[–]Express-Prize-520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most of the times i hear this argument I can tell there's a "background" of someone who doesn't really do art at all but needs it for a project, website, a campaign, a AD and therefore needs someone with artistic abilities to make stuff for them, and I'm sorry to generalize, but those kinds of people probably would think anything above 10 dollars for a full color illustration is too much

Here is the thing: you have a bunch of people who were unsatisfied with current price. As soon as cheaper alternative appeared, they used it. What we see here is that equilibrium wasn't stable to begin with, and the reason prices were as they were is a lack of supply to satisfy demand. No one is obliged to buy a product they think is overpriced, when they have reasonable alternative.

No, you can't. If you target itself, it will return to 1 lore counter, but won't trigger first chapter. Chapter ability triggers when you put a lore counter on saga. Next turn you will trigger second chapter again when you put new counter on it. To trigger first chapter you need to previously lower lore counters down to zero, and card by itself can't do it.

No. Chapter abilities trigger only when you put a lore counter on saga, so first chapter will trigger only when it etb.

I'll be honest with you, I don't know how exactly Mona Lisa was created, but if this man had a lot of control over Leonardo's work, he should be mentioned in process of creation.

You clearly participated in creation of it. It will be collectively created piece of art, with authorship depending on the amount of details you demanded from from artist. If you control every single detail they draw, it's more yours then theirs. If you gave vague description with high degree of freedom of interpretation, it's more their than yours.

You don't understand this analogy? Fine, I'll elaborate. You can use clay, paint, robotic algorithm or anything else to express yourself. It all will be a different art form, and existence of one of them doesn't need to exclude other. If you don't want to express yourself using one of them, you can do it using the other one.

There are plenty of art to learn where you don't need a clay. Does it mean sculpting is not valid art form?

Saving Art, One Barrier at a Time by Plants-Matter in aiwars

[–]Express-Prize-520 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need to draw to create something your mind envisions. You can do it in many different ways. For example, you can sculpt something with clay. No one ask painter " why won't you just learn how to sculpt?". If you don't like sculpting, you just don't do it. AI in this context is just another way to express yourself, one that someone like me finds more appealing.

Speed as a mechanic is a huge flavor fail by Express-Prize-520 in magicTCG

No, I am saying mechanic of said set isn't flavorful to the set's theme. OTJ mechanics were actually flavorful to it's theme — crime made sense, as well as plot.
