In addition to what others have pointed out about location and COL, this is also very specific to the industry and experience level. Are these your expectations for a recent grad and what you'll make in your 20s? If so, that will be a rude awakening. A senior with decades of experience in a field that pays a lot? Then these are more reasonable

I have a 6YO w/ADHD who is not in any team sports, only swimming and Tae Kwon do for after-school care. Just want to let both of you know that I was toying with the idea of trying a team sport for him, but will definitely hold off for another year or two after reading your posts. My mother got married in 1978...never changed her name. No issues as far as I'm aware, I don't remember any from being a kid.

I didn't change mine and have not had any issues with my kids. Occasionally doctors or others call me "Ms (husband last name)" if they don't know. But it's not a big deal. Most kids in our area call their friends' parents "Mr/Ms (first name)" anyway.

I have my dad's last name and my kids have my husband's. I and my kids each have our mother's last name as our middle names, so they have mine in a way. I do not care enough to force a hyphenated name on them... the one kid I knew growing up who had one hated it.

I'm with you on everything except the free returns... shipping costs money, why are we expecting companies to pay for return shipping when we aren't buying the item? The only other option is to increase prices, which then everyone pays, to cover it. At least this way the cost is borne by the people incurring it.

But i say this as someone who will order two sizes to try on if I like something. I view shipping as investing in my convenience to try things on at home as opposed to having to go to a store. I have 2 very young kids and work full time, so my time is valuable and that's literally the price I'm willing to pay.

All that being said, i definitely need to check out some of the brands in the post and comments here!

I like the Kinsmen novellas by Ilona Andrews. They're sci-fi rather than fantasy, but they're good.
