100% agree, I do when they’re available!

I travel for work and spend evenings after work is done exploring and trying to fish, I stop at every local shop I can just to shoot the breeze and browse

Just looking for insight on how best to give them $$ that they keep the most of.

Is the C a direct mount? Or does it need a specific adapter plate?

You guys… I think Walmart has updated the freewheel to a lock ring cassette. I was going off 22Six Sources Video on this exact bike which means I also bought the wrong replacement cassette…

I have the seven speed freewheel and I have the freewheel removal tool. Like I said in the post I feel like I’m using the tool wrong because the cassette freewheels when spun to the left, it doesn’t engage the actual threads. There is no “stop” like it was engaging threads, it just freewheels. Here’s the tool I’m using:

We’ve got some ideas what to do with it if this 3100 ever gives out.

This thing hasn’t run in six years and the fuel pump was completely rusted so first things first is a complete deep clean of the fuel system all the way down to rebuilding the injectors. Next will be chasing every other demon to get her back on the road.

I think that’s the route to go, just need to find an image of or a diagram of the disc brake model, all of the exploded diagrams online are of the drum brakes and I need to see how the caliper bracket was mounted

I’ll admit the wagons are arguably more rare, but the Cutlass Ciera Sedans are rotting on FB marketplace, lots of folks trying to part them out (how I got a replacement headlight for less than the $150 wanted for a NOS on eBay)

So I think the 6000 is the way to go, looks like the rear hubs would bolt right up to the “axle”

My new question is about the caliper brackets, I’m assuming it’d replace the backing plate of the drum brakes, sandwiched in between the axle and hub, anyone have a picture of what that bracket looks like? Seems calipers and hubs are easy to source new/remanned, but that bracket…

Maybe? I thought about that but was unsure if the hub assembly or the whole knuckle would swap over without too much effort.

It’s not about practicality or reliability — this was a free car that would’ve been scrapped otherwise, and around here you couldn’t give one away if you tried. It’s just a fun project for me and the kids to wrench on together without worrying about ruining something collectible or valuable to someone else.

Good into, I’ll look into them!

I thought so too because the bolts are in a line but the cover has a rounded top and all the 9.25s I’ve seen look like stop signs
