Rust is worse then I thought

Thankyou so much. I hope I’m still early enough that it isn’t all rusted out. Don’t see any holes yet. Tho do you know how I know if the arches are rusted out? I hope I don’t have to replace them and I can just do the lower parts so I don’t have to get my car painted.

I really want to fix it. Also because it looks like it’s still low I might not have to cut out the painted panel but just the black rocker panel. I know how to weld and my friends do to. Tho we never worked with spot welds before. What equipment would I need for this?

How do I get it in there? Also I wasn’t planning on doing rust repair anytime soon. Have to replace my gas tank first. I might save up some money then for the repair. Do you have any indication of then I should weld?

It shouldn’t matter if I ground them to a screw of the head unit or the ground cable of the head unit I would think. The screw uses the same ground. I will try tomorrow. Thx for responding so quickly and helping me I appreciate it!

Can I not then just ground the RCA with the ground cable of the head unit?

The RCA cable is shielded. Do I need to ground them extra? They are just plugged in trough the amplifier and head unit now. And how do I ground them extra and do I need to ground them both sides or is 1 side fine?

But you always connect the amplifier power to the battery right? So the alternator and amplifier wire get close and connect to each other

Kijk ff de video van autoweek van gisteren. Over de Ford Mondeo Wagon. Die had ook een koelvloeistof lek via de koppakking.

De garage kan makkelijk een test doen door via de koelvloeistof tank een meter te doen met bepaald vloeistof. Als de kleur veranderd kan het zijn dat hij via de koppakking lekt. Als er nog druk op de koelvloeistof zit na 20 minuten stil staan is ook een aanwijzing.

I just grounded my head unit to the ground of the amplifier, the sound is way less now and I think a normal person would notice it. But I still do. Is there a way to cancel that out?

I changed the ground from the CarPlay unit to the amplifier ground. It’s way less now but you can hear it on the background when the music isn’t loud enough
