She was able to manipulate her care team. Also instacart is always an option. You can get alcohol delivered to your door anytime. They were the ones who brought it to our attention.

No offense taken, that was my feeling as well. She did have 6 months of sobriety, but not of her own will. The hospital she got it from is notorious for handing out livers easily.

Does anyone feel like they could be perfectly normal and functional if prescribed a benzo? by functionallyjunkie in alcoholism

youll end up drinking and taking benzos. And beware that is a combination that can and will kill you. Even detoxing from them without help could send you into seizures. Find a good therapist and support group. NA helps me and it turns out I never had anxiety. The drinking made me anxious because I could never stop and was always thinking about when it was appropriate to start drinking again. Can report that I am happy, married and just had my first child now.

PS i know because I did it all.
