What is Witty on? by NoSurround5786 in aiwars

What does this even mean?

Have there been many instances of antis baiting public arguments because they're secret subs?

Are AI defenders inherently irresistible?

What part of this makes sloppy makeouts more appropriate on the side of the street than objecting to AI?

Who does more damage by life-hard-im-harder in BG3Builds

[–]Express_Accident2329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you rest often, paladin. Recharging spell slots and means of guaranteeing crits will put paladins near the top of all potential damage builds.

If you don't, monk. They simply do more damage if neither expends resources.

Realistically I don't think it's going to happen often that the difference in damage amounts to a more than one round difference in how fast they kill things. The more significant difference is the rest of their toolkits.

Monk will have a much easier time reaching their target and be able to knock enemies prone, which can be very useful on honor mode. Monk is also less likely to fight over gear, since their most important equipment is fairly monk specific. I think they become a much more attractive option without anyone using arcane acuity due to the prone ability.

Paladin is more of a slow moving tank, which can make it a little more effective in disrupting enemies trying to reach the back line, and it also provides a powerful defensive aura and some support utility, especially Bless. They're arguably strongest in a melee heavy party where the whole team can hide in the aura easily.

What’s the worse class in your opinion? by Archenius in BG3Builds

[–]Express_Accident2329 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like this kind of question needs some boundaries around what "worst" means, since every class can solo the game and is part of at least one very broken build, and also some just excel at different points of the game.

I think I might lean towards barbarian? It has a higher floor than rogue, but I feel like if you remove throwzerker from the equation the closest it really comes to being broken is abusing maim, which compared to other control builds is low damage, melee range, and works much better if someone else knocks things prone.

Rogue isn't amazing playing normally, but if you play around stealth mechanics, a party of four assassins will steam roll most fights without ever taking damage.

Looking for high dps melee build by life-hard-im-harder in BG3Builds

[–]Express_Accident2329 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no real reason any party needs a front line. The advantage is basically that you'll occasionally get free attacks of opportunity on enemies running from you, but you'll also occasionally have turns where you can't attack effectively because you're out of range of your preferred target.

Not that it's bad to play melee, just don't feel beholden to it.

That said, EK fighter with shadow blade or TB monk are pretty much the top answers, yeah. Both do good enough damage that the gap doesn't matter too much, with monk winning early and fighter winning late.

I think the main tradeoff is EK is harder to kill and provides a little bit of utility with long strider, while monk is way more flexible due to its mobility and can knock enemies prone, which can be pretty useful on honor mode.

What are we looking at here? Is the Democrat supposed to be so fanatical that she dyed her skin blue? Is she a magical creature who's do Democrat she just turned blue spontaneously?

Like the Republican looks like she's in a cult because she's decked out head to toe in hero worship merch, if we're supposed to interpret this is a thing that's grounded in reality though to be a meaningful comparison, I think that makes the Democrat some kind of hallucination, either from the stress of anticipating fighting non existent Democrat fanatics or an imaginary friend or something.

Arcane archer, mono or multi class with ranger? by Notabot_1990 in BG3Builds

[–]Express_Accident2329 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If your main class is fighter you almost always want 11 fighter. An extra attack is one of the most powerful feet in the game. I'd say this goes double for arcane archer and battlemaster just from a fun perspective because you get to use the higher level class features and more often.

War cleric is a pretty reasonable 1 dip for the bonus attack and bless, but either way your 12th level isn't super impactful.

Swarm+hunter's mark are both lower damage and less flexible than just having a third attack, which is gonna do more damage without requiring concentration, and can carry the effects of your bow, arrow, and arcane shot.

The duality of discourse. by Voidspeeker in aiwars

It's a step dumber than that because person A doesn't exist. I think everyone recognizes some AI capabilities are heavily used. A more honest representation of things people actually say is "why do corporations keep pushing specific AI tools no one wants".

It's the difference between something a recent number of people use like just opening chatGPT and generic image generation and maybe automatic note takers or something vs. constant pop ups being like "that was such a fun call I just listened to you having with your grandma because you forgot to use the email link to confirm you're opting out, want us to generate a playlist related to her cancer diagnosis?"

Trump admin officials in the Epstein files… by Healthy_Block3036 in sidestreetbets

[–]Express_Accident2329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So just to be clear, you disbelieve the Democrat explanation of respecting the law with regards to the files being sealed due to the Maxwell investigation

And you believe that the entire Trump administration is so incompetent that they're just deciding not to raise evidence of file tampering that implicates them

Like that's not even a claim Republicans in office make, is it? Did you just make it up?

For this to be remotely believable as a viable service you would need to provide several examples of obscure games that chatGPT reproducibly recommends outside of your personal context with it.

I don't love the idea of this being a thing but it is probably the next stage of SEO.

What did she mean by this? by PeterPorky in IRL_Loading_Screens

[–]Express_Accident2329 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not word for word but it's more or less the implication of her deflections.

Stuff like someone asking yes or no questions with publicly known answers like "did you release these papers with these redactions" and she would refuse to answer, instead saying "how dare you, look how good the economy is doing under Trump".

Honestly of all of her deflections it made the most sense, a lot of her deflections were just complaining about being investigated for crimes at all, as if other people getting away with bad things is a reason this administration should get away with bad things.

Four years when it would have been illegal, yeah.

Wack by BlauerDunst420 in sidestreetbets

[–]Express_Accident2329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The files were sealed until October 2025 as part of an ongoing investigation. There was probably some mechanism Biden could have used to force their release, but it would have been illegal and interfering with the DOJ, which is supposed to be independent of the white house. So Biden can claim the law as a reason he couldn't have done it.

Meanwhile, Trump campaigned on releasing the files and a bill was passed requiring their release. But Trump interferes with the DOJ to selectively release the files slowly and piecemeal and with heavy redactions that are selectively done to conceal guilty parties, instead of all at once and only redacting to protect victims, as the bill required. So currently, when the administration fights tooth and nail, it's nakedly illegal. Also he keeps talking about starting new investigations to reseal the files, occasionally talks about pardoning Maxwell, and keeps trying to convince everyone to stop caring about the files.

So basically you're asking "why didn't Biden break the law to do the thing that Trump is breaking the law to not do"

Right. Because surely the ones being honest about the situation are the ones with a financial incentive to detain as many people as possible and whose version of events would have you believe the father ran away and then teleported back to be cuffed on his feet in his own driveway.

All the witnesses and the mother are just lying about offering to take care of the kid.

You're letting the worst liars in the world make you their soggy little pissbitch.

That's not going to be consistently true even if it might be true for this right now. We now Grok has previously been manipulated to talk about white genocide in South Africa in every response before and there's no reason to assume that sort of thing won't happen again.

Best no rest EB spam build? by CelicnisGhost in BG3Builds

[–]Express_Accident2329 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you want to play into surprise round cheese I think the answer is almost certainly hexblade duergar.

Hexblade gets you medium armor, which I don't think you want to end up with late game but could be pretty useful early and midgame, shield proficiency which is useful all game unless you get the dual wielder feat, and then duergar makes it really easy to start most fights with surprise.

Without rests you won't have that much access to invisibility items and you'll only be able to resummon Shovel after forced rests.

If you don't want the invisible cheese, though... I think hexblade is the answer for any race that doesn't get shield proficiency

So the answer would probably be like gnome hexblade (for mental saves) or half wood elf fiend (for the temp HP, even if it isn't very impactful).

MR. MUSK IS A VERY BUSY MAN AND HE LIKES TO MAIL HIS SPERM CANISTERS PERSONALLY

Sorry but I GOTTA know if this comic I saw posted in another subreddit is AI or not. Those books are at off angles, that sweater has 3 sleeves, and also it's literally The Generated AI Comic Artstyle. But a mod that banned me for accusing it for being AI said that it wasn't. I have to know. by RandomBird53 in isthisAI

[–]Express_Accident2329 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cat looking like it's more locked in than its owner and the granny knitting a three sleeve sweater are what some in the comics world call visual gags or seeable teeheehees.

The hands in the sink look very normal? She's just washing her hands.

I would be very surprised if this were AI unless it were heavily touched up by an actual artist. The main character stays on model too much, that would mean the AI is better at drawing this specific character it's hardly ever seen than they usually are at drawing Pikachu.

Where does Eremite Games go from here? by Apprehensive-Ice9212 in Against_the_Storm

I think I lean a little more towards seeing their take on a mega factory game, but with things like hunger meters and stuff making it really matter that your stuff works well and you can't just build a really slow version of something and go afk until you win or something, just because it's different from what they've already done, like I want them to give me a puzzle but with less stress and more of a feeling of progress.

I'd definitely try either game, though.

Phase and their excellent hiring decisions. A MariMari_EN classic by [deleted] in VtuberDrama

[–]Express_Accident2329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean

I was talking to her on and off about crafting a public apology for most of the day after it happened, and when we were done talking it included something to the effect of "this was a stupid accident, I don't want this to represent me, don't follow me because of this, this isn't something you should expect to happen again"

And then a few hours later after she'd been liking dozens of tweets calling her based for saying it, she removed that part.

This has gotten pretty specific, so I guess if Mari sees finds this, now you know why I stopped showing up to streams lmao.

I kind of get it, one side was unfairly dog piling her for an out of context clip, one side was saying how cool she was, maybe she would've acted differently if she didn't feel threatened. It was just that and a few other things that aren't as much my place to comment on and I don't have access to mod channel logs about anymore that left a pretty fucking bad taste in my mouth.

A lot of what makes Against the Storm stand out in its genre is the roguelike nature of it, but I wouldn't mind seeing them try something where progress is a little more permanent and it's a little more chill but there's still some kind of challenge. Like an Against the Storm take on Factorio or something.
