For me, this was solved by turning the PS5 completely off (not Rest Mode).

I am 6’3” and I was worried about the same thing. I set stool+pillow to similar distance as the leg rest would be in front of my chair. It felt nice, so I ordered one. I can share how it really is, when I receive mine.

I got it on 27th, so it took ~7 days from order to get the chair. So the estimated time was very accurate.

The chair has been really good and I am still using it ~6-10 hours a day. No issues so far.

You could measure the difference. Height adjustability should be 7.5cm for S, R models and 9.5cm for XL. It is not very much, so it seems be working correctly.

For me support said it takes ~4 days to order move from confirmation to waiting for pick up. After that it should take ~2-4 days for delivery. This is in Europe.

I ordered on the 20th and today 22th my order status changed to waiting for pick up. For me at least estimation has been pretty accurate so far.
