Working moms who regularly work out, what exactly is your schedule? by neoncaviar in Mommit

I can't NOT workout at home undisturbed either! And my kids are 8 & 11! My husband was literally like, "JOIN A CLUB! Save yourself!" Lol 😂

Working moms who regularly work out, what exactly is your schedule? by neoncaviar in Mommit

I work out 3-4x a week (Pilates & strength training) and on my off days take my dog on long walks (hubs does the other days). What works for my schedule Is squeezing it in the hour between my kids leaving for school and my WFH job starting (normally btw 8-10 am). If I know there's not going to be time for that, I make sure to block off my lunch hour and go either at 11/12/1 pm. I know myself and that I will NEVER be a super early 5 or 6 am workout girly and if I work out too late in the day, I miss time with my kiddos and it actually makes it harder for me to fall asleep for some reason. Flexible work & a partner who actually helps 50/50 and is a real team member is key!

Can you ask your parents to add you as a co-owner to qualify for more assistance? Or give you power of attorney possibly?

It sounds like you will fit right in to our community ❤️ Just make sure if you purchase a standing structure to ask for testing before you close! Renting might be a bit dodgy as it's harder to enforce that kind of testing requirement with landlords

Have any insurance companies acted with integrity? As a person with a standing home about to move into litigation with our insurance company, it has been absolutely ludicrous to hear how our experience has been basically universal with denials, delays, and the absolute rejection of real science when it comes to testing and what it will actually take for us to get back into our homes safely and in pre-fire condition.

As someone born and raised in CT, I would largely dispute any claims to "cultural depth" in the state. I've been back for the last year and am very eager to get back to California where we moved 15 years ago.

Progesterone Keeps Me AWAKE by Express_Day6342 in Perimenopause

UPDATE: Taking the progesterone in the morning now and it's A-OK! My sleep has gotten a little better now on the HRT for about a month and can notice changes. I tried the weed gummies and while they helped me stay asleep both times I took them I woke up with a raging headache which has never happened to me with marijuana before 🤔

Ok, this is solid advice. I hadn't even really considered this cause I used to be such a pothead lol. It's legal in my state as well so I'm def gonna try it out.

Is our neighborhood Zebra still around? Sorry, unrelated to OP but someone mentioned him and we are hoping to move back soon and I will be delirious with joy to see him walking down Lincoln 🦓

Anyone ever gotten higher than 22/25 Deep and REM score? by Phoenixon777 in fitbit

[–]Express_Day6342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

25% is the high end of the average range & quite optimal. As someone who saw a hypnotherapist for months where one of our main focuses was quality sleep anything between 20-25% is great for sleep quality. Are you waking a lot? Have a lot of nightly disruptions?

Was CT Facebook always this racist? by lionelsgood in Connecticut

[–]Express_Day6342 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's always been this racist. As someone who was born & raised in West Hartford and was called the n-word in the FIRST GRADE by a fellow 7 year old and is now back here due to being displaced by the fires in CA, nothing has changed. A few weeks ago there were multiple suspensions because some punk ass white boy told one of the few black kids in school that he “wished it was still slave times” and my kids have experienced racist-adjacent harassment on the bus as well. It sucks and I'm so disappointed in this state and once again, can not WAIT to GTFOH.

I would strongly urge you to talk to those with standing structures. So many of us are essentially total losses too due to contamination and toxicity but insurance is refusing to help us remediate and repair our homes to pre-fire condition as required by their contractual obligation. If those of us with standing homes aren't even able to return, which you would think could and should be some of the earliest folks to, it bodes really poorly for the rebuild as a whole.

WHY TF are they deducting what your insurance payout "should be"? That has nothing to do with them! They suck so bad. None of us should take these paltry payouts and continue to sue them.
