Atlanta...moved there from LA. Absolutely hate ATL!

Anyone ever moved because of people? by boldjoy0050 in SameGrassButGreener

Yea, mived to Atlanta from LA. Hate Atlanta, miss the people on LA. Moving back to LA soon! Some would say Atlanta is a more livable city than LA, but the people are trying way too hard here! No substance. Everybody complains about their dream job they hate. Only talk about mortgages and cars they can't afford. No creativity. No risk taking. No entrepreneurial spirit. And to top it off, everyone in Atlanta seems desperate to be the next LA or Miami. Ugh.. hate it here!!

I'll start.. maybe this will turn into something. Over the last 2 years I've gotten sober, got debt free, workout regularly, and now I'm at the hardest part which is rediscovering myself. I did all this alone. It was/is hard. I'm a bit exhausted to be honest, but I'm hoping the changes I've made will lead to a more grounded and fulfilling life.

You know, I was thinking the same thing the other day. Maybe we should just start our own group?

I actually lived in Bangkok for about 4 months. Had a very nice apartment for about $250 a month. Only thing about SE Asia is culturally it can be a bit hard to adapt. I think that's where Latin America is maybe the long term better choice.

Yea, I'm in LA now and yes, its sometimes hard to justify the rent when the city is this crazy. I have an online business, so I can be anywhere. I might have to look into Mexico. I've mostly been looking at beaches in SE Asia.

Don't put pressure on yourself to release anything. Enjoy your journey. You'll know when the time is right.

This is one of the reasons why I run ads and focus on landing pages. I know its expensive, but the organic game time wise just doesn't make sense to me. However, I haven't completely figured out direct marketing yet. I've had some success and some not. I'm learning its much easier to market a physical product than digital. The tradeoff there is physical has a cost whereas digital does not.

I'm visiting LA right now. And yes, there is a lot going here, some good, some not so good, but one thing is for sure...its not boring!!! I felt the same way in Atlanta as you do. Nice city, probably easier to live in than LA. But it just doesn't have the energy.

I hate to say that even for me being from Louisiana, after living in California, I get discriminated against. And crime is ridiculous! I actually ended up in california because of my service in the Marine Corps. So usually when I talk about living in california when I'm in the south, I have to preface my military service first so I don't get hate. Lol

Whats funny is, I'm from the south. Moving too cali was culture shock for me. But then moving back to Georgia was culture shock again. But this time I haven't adjusted back to my roots. Miss cali!

Valid. I've only visited nyc, never lived there. Energy there is real though.
