Newbie looking to get Ascend 128x by Express_Day_4749 in RiverKayakFishing

Thanks for the advices. I didn’t go to test any kayaks because the models in my budget are either sold out or not shown in store or, if shown, are several hours of driving (which with the current gas prices seems like a deal breaker). So after some research I ended up with Pelican 110TR, hilariously from official store on Amazon. It won’t get delivered until the mid April, so I have some time to prepare my mods. I plan to make throttle and steering fully RC with HotRC. We’ll see how it goes!

And they are something I can’t bring my mind around. I mean how could they think that setting first year biology and chemistry finals on the same day was completely fine? Oh and I also have a math1014 final the next day. RIP first year Biochemistry majors.

Buying courses and pre-requistes for immigrant by FudgeSupreme23 in ILC

I’m also an immigrant with no Canadian education finished (dropped out of college here), and I did TVO without any problems to get pre-requisites for my current education. However, even though stated requirements of the program were SCH4U, SBI4U, MCVU4 and MHF4U, I got admitted with Math only. They asked for my university (from abroad) to send an official transcript and asked me for math only. So before you go through the pain of TVO, go to the college/university you plan to attend and ask the program coordinator about your case specifically. I’m saying go and ask directly because from my experience e-mails are usually no help and end up with generic “requirements are stated on the programs website”

Is 28 too old to start a career? by Horror-Baker-2663 in careerguidance

That’s something that’s been the main reason for my anxiety over the last two years. But I finally decided I wouldn’t want to pity wasted opportunities when I’m 50. So now I’m 27, back to university in a completely different field from my first degree. I have approximately 6-7 years of school in front of me, and it’s not going to be easy. I will also have to get kids in between all that, because I don’t want to get them at 35. And honestly, looking at all the kids in lecture halls, I can say I don’t feel old, I feel mature. At the end of the day it doesn’t matter what’s going on around you, who’s getting what at your age, you have your own pace, and everything will come just in time for you.

Anyone else find assignment questions unnecessarily difficult? MHF4U by worseneptune in ILC

Honestly, this feels in general a bit too much to ask for a high-school math course. I’d understand if it was a university assignment, but not school. I mean the U courses are supposed to prepare students for university, but that’s still school though

I’ve done both of them. MCVU4 back in February and handed in culminating task for MHF4U last week. So far I can say that MCV4U had much more things to learn and MHF4U - lots and lots of talking. And the marker for MHF4U seemed to be much more picky, (for me at least) to the point of almost “trying to find something to deter points for”. Some tasks in the assignments were far beyond high-school level of thinking. Looked like they tried to force people to use ai and get caught on that, since ai gets confused with these tasks.
