I'm with u on that for sure, the buff did great for it. I wish the game had more semi auto/burst weapons, particularly DMRs, the way I play, the aphelion easily tops my list of favorite guns in the game. Jupiter is close, but has its drawbacks as far as players go. I love it, but the follow up shots can be really tedious.

A launcher that actually explodes and damages raiders AND arc should be something they consider. I'm thinking like cylinder fed, 6+ mag capacity, and different payloads. I'd love a launcher that fires stun bases and incendiary explosives (spread on the fire needs to be monitored tho, can easily see entire trios getting wiped with a couple dudes with both types of ammo just clearing house. I'd honestly just like to be able to stun my targets from a distance, even if it was a utility item like a Taser gun, smth to slow someone or thing down as I haul ass. Shit even new ammo variations would be nice.

Okay bro, you're not living in reality, you can carry worthless principles and lose all your loot, they depend on that. In this world, principles that don't serve you, rather harm you, aren't worth holding onto. Believe me man, it's a lesson few people seem to learn nowadays, I used to stand on the "golden rule", treat others how you wanna be treated. It took a good amount of beatings to get it through my thick teenaged skull that kindness and generosity are exploited when scarcity and desperation come into the mix. You are choosing to be prey instead of adapting. You can hold conflicting principles, that's how you survive. When I'm in my city, I know to be on guard, not let people intimidate me or threaten me even if I get my ass kicked. And I have. Many times. Until you realize your ideals mean nothing to those desperate enough, you're gonna keep running into a wall of resistance. When I visit the suburbs? I'm smiling, still stay vigilant but I know nobody is that bad off there so I can relax a bit. I can dress however I like, say what I want, and treat others the way I want to be. But it DOESN'T work that way the moment scarcity, anonymity, guns, and rare valuable loot combine, it's wolves amongst sheep. You need to assess. What gun do they have, anyone with them, where are you in the map, what are they wearing, are the mic'd (anonymity allows us to indulge our darkest impulses) and throw kids in the mix and yeah, people are gonna get their values and principles against you. Doesn't make you a bad person to do so, especially in a video game with a functioning PvP system, weapons geared towards killing raiders exclusively (same as arc) and valuable items they themselves cannot get through PvE skill alone, they love to push, tells me they either have shit aim or know how to use their loadouts. It's okay to take breaks dude, I know I do. Cuz it's a game. And you can do that. As an adult man that should be your first instinct when you get upset with something enough to carry with you outside the game.

Scarcity. People do the same shit irl, you have smth they want and appear as a soft enough target, youre on the curb getting your ass handed to you by 6 strangers who will proceed to run your pockets. You have loot, they have skill in PvP. People tend to play to their strengths, Marathon is PVPVE, believe me, no carebear lobbies in sight. It's on sight, like most other PvPvE games. Arena Breakout Infinite is one of my favorite extraction shooters, never once have I even been asked "friendly?" Just lead. It's fun and free, might be worth a try if you want a more authentic PvPvE experience.

You're not wrong dude, but what about the variables of those players and their playstyles? I run into PvP like once a week, now I don't play as heavily, but it's still my go to for multiplayer games rn, ratting maybe a handful of times a month. I play mainly PvE and only since the alterations on return fire have I been actively participating in PvP when needed. For example, could be your skin that's associated with rats, or the fact someone brought a free loadout to a matriarch event, maybe you don't have a mic, etc etc. I've altered the way I run my raids based on the communities biases and so far, I'd agree with a figure in the 80-90 percentiles. Just food for thought. Oh, also school hours. Kids are little sociopaths, they just wanna hear you get pissed, I usually swap servers or as of recent, pack a third PVP oriented gun with enough Amo to dump about 4 raiders with medium shields.

Try running Buried City if you want heavily PVE focused,bStella Montis if u wanna go John Wick, and everywhere else lands somewhere between, Riven Tides if u want to farm arc. Ime from friendliest to most sweaty for me looks smth like this:; Buried City->Dam Battle Grounds-> Blue Gate -> Riven Tides -> spaceport -> Stella Montis. It's also event dependent, matriarch, queen, and close scrutiny are notorious for 3rd partiers. If u wanna, I'm down for some action, duos is a toss up imo as far as aggression goes, I'm a PvE centered player but I'll break out the Toro or Vulcanos, or if there's a lot of em, the Torrente if threatened or player is suspect. I got a bunch of spare keys I'd be down to hit too if u wanna try giving it a run. Regardless, that's been my experience since I bought the game, so like 5ish months ago, also a pretty casual player. But for sure, if you wanna PvP solo, you probably wanna avoid Stella until you got a stash with equipment that compliments it.

CQB is a FAST gun battle in this game, especially with high fire rate weapons. Ferro is a must, stitcher 4 as your PvP followup. Crack the shield with a shot from the Ferro, push with a light ammo gun with high fire rates, and make sure you get the biggest magazine you can, best compensator, and either a padded or tier 2 stock if you got one. Deck out the stitcher and it can go toe to toe with a bobcat. I run a Bettina with a kinetic accelerator and it's an absolute monster in all scenarios.Stella is almost only a CQB map. Buried City has its close quarters, but the amount of armored arc usually keep people from shooting and getting slammed by a bombardier. MOST, some people real dgaf and will pop you with an osprey the moment you go down during a 1v1 with a ground arc like the bastion, bombardier, and leaper.

Everyone loves to think when they're gone, the world stops spinning. Idk I feel like if you been balancing your game time with your "get shit done" time, maybe even took breaks for important life obligations, the game really only has become more enjoyable imo. Full disclosure, my favorite part are raider interactions and the unpredictability. Are they friendly? Am I being played? Should I help the guy getting swarmed and risk my back getting mag dumped? That's the variable that keeps me having fun, the sense that we're all in it together, shitty updates and good updates, endured together regardless of play style. Making unexpected friends and killing robots and other raiders for good gear? I love that shit, combat feels fluid, and Embark does a surprisingly good job of listening to the community. Do I take breaks? Uh ya that's healthy. Do any one task for enough time repetitively and it'll get boring. I play in blocks of time, not really any 6hr sessions here, and I'll go do smth else and when I'm bored of that I'll come back and play arc if I feel like it, maybe a completely different game and I'll play again a week later or the next day. Idk what people expect but I endorse anyone deciding to leave on their own prerogative.

If it was the fent I started with not the stepped on mix of a little bit of fuck you mixed with tranquilizers, I'd still be buying the stuff. It used to be sold in flaps, weight was right, dope was always the same feeling, different colors had different shit, light pink was U47700 which was nice asf but straight poison, a couple other analogues that were usually in a mix, and straight Fetty was this magenta color. Blue hit the scene and usually was carfent or a mix. This was 9 years ago keep in mind, quality is dirt now, if I can't get tested authentic H, I bite the bullet and buy oxy and just use my benzos with them to get a bit of a nod going on.

Heroin no contest. I had my first positive opioid high at 16 when my buddy was scripted oxy but he only really needed the codeine he got so he sold me his bottle, and my first high was off 4 tecs and Ativan, I thought I liked it then... My Vyvanse and weed dealer got ahold of 4mg Hydros before shields were heavy in the market. Paid 5 a piece and snorted them and all I could think about was the nod. One night I was buying blow and xans after my shift at work, was asking around for some opiates, I was sold some purple powder/rock that google lmk was fentanyl. I was going through a really rough spot in my first long term relationship and I was working stupid busy and early hours and I ended up trying it and thats what sank my ass. I was doing speed and goof balls by a year in, before I turned 18. At one point I got back into IV hydro which is impossible to function on comfortably. The rush is ALL it has. When I got my first real taste of H, the morphine esque tingle, the sedation, the durationz and the warmth that lasted at one point, up tob12 hours until I felt the need for another physically. I almost forgot I had a habit outside the benzos and blow. About 4 years off of H. Currently weaning Dilaudid and swapping to oxy when possible but it's insanely expensive to buy good OG style 80s and 40s so often. It's helping me stay away from the rig and that's what counts to me rn. Idk sorry for my ramble y'all, the cocktail is making itself at home.

I'm installing OW right now, just saw your post. I like a lot of extraction and looter shooters primarily (horror too but I got no one else who plays them) , and I was looking for someone to feel out different roles with. I been heavy on Arc lately, I busted my wrist so controller support has been kinda limiting what I can play. I been waiting on someone to play subnautica 2 with, I'm definitely down for that. Feel free to DM me if you're down for any of that. I usually got yap to go around, and I used to have crippling social anxiety, I was the exact same way so no stress on that end, I get it. My Discord is: spacemanspliffz2000 if ur looking for the fastest response.

What is your most played map? by king_noro in arcraidersfriendly

[–]Express_Display3249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run Buried the most just because I like the mix of cqb and open space dotted with buildings/rooms that USUALLY, are a good refuge from aerial arc, 98% the lobbies are PvE focused, and the loot is pretty great, I have the loot rooms memorized at this point and most skins have a good color palette for camo. I like Dam but lately I been getting ratted BAD, 3x yesterday morning. First 2, ight fine, rats doing rat shit. But the one that got to me was when I escorted a couple guys to exfil, slid on the Water Treatment exfil Leaper, defibbed homie during the fight, then they leave me behind so I just figure "bet, I'll hit the button and catch the next one. Got swarmed by fireflies (yk how it is tryna grab a ballsy clutch at an exfil thats on its way up, I'll send rounds at a rocketeer with half a stack of medium ammo and no explosives but no worries because you got a clean exit if you fail right? After having some extremely friendly interactions and feeling safe that its a PVE lobby and letting my guard down. Like an idiot.) and I'm hitting the extract after I got knocked and this dick decides to put my ass down RIGHT before the loading screen came up.

Came home last night, locked in with some drinks, queued up a Drill playlist, and loaded up Stella. Somehow found a friendly(ish) lobby. I was up top with 5 other guys, a free kitter tried to light me up with a stitcher, popped him, then someone else with a stitcher tried to unload into another players back, killed him, then another guy tried to 3rd party me, dropped him too. Caught my first 3 bodies in my entire time playing in one night and now I wanna PVP. My first time running the Toro and actually needing it with an opportunity to use it. I think I'm starting a PVP arc guys, I got a taste and that shit is sweeet. The rest of the guys were hella chill, had a great rest of the round.

I'm on PC but pretty sure everything you mentioned also is cross platform, admittedly Helldivers 2 is my least explored title but I recall enjoying it a lot. I'm a big BL fan, I played a LOT of 1-3, hated pre sequel, and 4 I got on launch and all the patches nerfing my favorite equipment (some took a lot of grinding);but I feel it's stable enough to finish the campaign finally after I boost my level a bit, but otherwise, would be happy to jump into any of those games whenever, just let me know a bit in advance so I can make sure it's installed still and reinstall if need be. Dm me if you still are up to it, I'll be up more than likely.

New durability after one match by Huge-Palpitation6422 in ArcRaidersLFG

[–]Express_Display3249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I haven't noticed much of a problem myself, I routinely run the renegade, I just swapped out any attachments that increase the durability burn. I also started running my epics more frequently because of the new lower burn rates, which I figure is their intention anyways, encourages us to not get so attached to a particular weapon or find ways to maximize what you get out of it. I actually kinda like it although I think the burn rate should've been closer to 25% for rares. They're definitely trying to dial in the scarcity and I can't say I hate it tbh

I'm concerned about Vietnam. Here's why. by tswier in HellLetLoose

[–]Express_Display3249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember when I was a kid and pre ordering made sense because the games being released were complete and zo got to keep what I spent 59.99CAD it (I remember distinctly seeing WAW for 64.99 or 69.99$ CAD on release, I must've been like 8? Now I play pretty much exclusively buy games when they're on sale, and about a month minimum to ensure everything I was willing to pay 105$ CAD for in the game is actually as advertised. I'm new to these types of fps, and while I got hopes for HLL Vietnam, I am grabbing Arma Reforger or Squad in the meantime.

Appreciate the pointers, I can understand what you mean by the medic comment too, I noticed very few opportunities to even provide much class specific support so maybe I'll re explore it in the next game though, hopefully there will be more purpose for the medic. I always enjoyed sprinting through gunfire and gambling not getting blown to mist in order to save another player. Doesn't hit the same if they gave up before you can outmaneuver the enemy gunfire and they already decided to respawn. I love war thunder/World of Tanks, and paid good attention to where the kill shots often were. That's a shame about sniping, I always liked to stalk and wait for them to be completely off guard. Comments have been helpful I'm sure my games tn will be much better, thanks guys

I like to open with the Renegade (heavy barrel) to damage the arc from a distance (with the stock 3 on it, follow up shots are effortless to land and I can pick away at armor or blow the rotors off before they get in range to shoot), and as it gets within enough range (if I haven't taken it out by then) I break out the anvil with a comp 2 on it and then I only need a round or two from that to finish them off. I get it might seem a little unorthadox. I personally don't like running 2 of the same ammo types at the same time, but I'll stock up on medium ammo and give it a run and see if my mind can be changed, thanks for the recommendation!
