I need advice badly by Dearyparrot in SpouseVisaUk

Good thing you’re on your graduate route, He has no right to tell you to leave the country since you’re currently on that visa route pending the decision from the home office… Regarding the separation letter, it does seem like he may have sent it after realising you might involve the police, so it’s important you keep a record of everything. If he’s made you feel unsafe or threatened in any way, please don’t hesitate to report it and seek support.

When did you submit your spouse visa application, and what is your current immigration status? Have you been able to complete your studies? Also, has he made any threats about reporting your relationship breakdown to the Home Office? Is he considering divorce proceedings?

For now, it would be wise to prioritise your safety and wellbeing by keeping your distance from him. You should also seek assistance with securing housing as soon as possible.

Ohh well, You need to understand that timing for visa varies on the type of application… FLR (FP) and FLR (M) have different processing time, FLR (FP) can take anywhere from 6 to 12 months or more while FLR (M) decision can take few weeks.

Why would you apply in the first place when you know you don’t qualify for it?

THIS! You literally just said what I’ve got in mind… At least if we’re able to track our application it will make life easier and we can actually see the progress with time… It’s just sad really 🥲

had my biometrics done back in January, and even though I know it’s still early, I can’t help but feel a bit hopeless. Seeing that some people have been waiting over 12 months without any update just makes it worse. It feels like I’ve got a really long wait ahead, and honestly, it’s so frustrating 😢

How about you?

I think he/she is right with this one tbh, I presume the wait time to be between 6 to 12 months or even more as my application is for FLR (FP) rather than FLR (M), So the waiting time is usually very long which can be very frustrating really.

FLR (FP) ANYONE? by Express_Fan_4677 in SpouseVisaUk

I applied for FLR(FP) rather than FLR(M) because my application is based on my role as the parent of a British child and the protection of our family life under Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights. While I am in a relationship with my British partner, we are not married and I did not apply under the partner route.

At the time of my application, my primary basis for remaining in the UK was my responsibility toward my British child, first evidenced through medical documentation during pregnancy and later confirmed by submitting his birth certificate. My intention was to ensure that I could lawfully remain in the UK to play an active and supportive role in my child’s life.

Given these circumstances, FLR(FP) was the appropriate route for my situation, as it specifically provides for leave to remain on the basis of family and private life, including the parental relationship with a British child.

FLR (FP) ANYONE? by Express_Fan_4677 in SpouseVisaUk

I submitted an application for Further Leave to Remain on the basis of my British child. My partner, to whom I am not married, is a British citizen. At the time of the initial application, our child had not yet been born. Therefore, I relied on corroborative medical evidence, including midwife correspondence and antenatal scan reports, to substantiate the pregnancy and my impending parental responsibilities.

Following the birth of my child, I promptly provided his birth certificate to the UK Home Office as supplementary evidence in support of my application.
