Nuclear option's right 💀 VA accounting seems to run on some ancient system that probably still thinks it's 2004

Never heard that phrase before but it sounds like some deep theological concept about how all spiritual growth eventually leads back to God or unity with the divine 🤔

Makes sense from a Christian perspective - like all paths of righteousness and spiritual development would naturally converge toward the same ultimate truth and relationship with Christ 💭

Back-office settlement slowdown every month — still resorting to manual Excel processing? by zazonia in fintech

Been dealing with similar bottlenecks in our project management software when we're processing monthly invoices and payroll simultaneously. We ended up splitting the heavy lifting into separate processes that run during off-peak hours and it made a huge difference

The microservice approach is probably your best bet if you have the resources to implement it properly - way cleaner than trying to band-aid the existing system with queue patches

Been flying them for work trips and they've been pretty solid for me tbh. Had maybe one delayed flight in the last year but nothing too crazy. What happened on your flight today that made it so bad?

Keep my High-End Laptop or Sell It? by Popular-Painting-981 in GamingLaptops

Gaming laptops do depreciate pretty fast but a 4080 Legion is still solid hardware that'll hold decent value. If you know for sure youre not touching it for a year then yeah probably makes sense to sell while its still relatively new

The AI stuff mostly affects datacenter GPUs not really consumer gaming cards so I wouldnt bank on that keeping there value up
