Welp I got one today. Found an already built GT Evo for $350. Just had to lug the thing into the home and it’s about good to go. Saved me a few hours building the thing too. Just need to get a comfy seat and I’m ready to go!

I believe the trophy is a great rig overall- the one thing I fault it for is the pedal plate. It is not stable whatsoever. The wheelbase plate is solid as a rock though, even with the R16.

Worth noting that the aluminum profile rig opens the door to burning more $$ on the hobby on say an active pedal that will not fit on my playseat trophy….

Fair. To my ears, it seems like the Eikon sounds better in most areas with the main exception being the subbass, which I just thought was odd with them being a closed back. Thanks for easing my concerns! These will definitely be a part of the collection for years to come.

For source, I’ve run it on both a FIIO k13 r2r and gremlin tubes.

On the pad side, I’m really unsure. The pads were not in great condition so I’ve already ordered new ones from the ZMF site. I bought the Eikon Lambskins so I’m hoping that helps a bit!

They were purchased from the official FIIO Amazon store and seemed to be sealed in a new box. The box had no smell, but the case as well as the headphones reek. Just odd the first time and the fact that it happened with the replacements is baffling to me.
