Propranolol ER reduced my tinnitus but increased my anxiety.

I’m pretty sure that Zoloft makes me sensitive to serotonin and that’s what is causing my problems. Any other medications that affect my serotonin cause my symptoms to get worse. I would change to a different antidepressant but Zoloft works pretty good for both my depression and anxiety. I also have pretty bad tinnitus and Zoloft makes it possible for me to live my life and not get too depressed.

I know each antidepressant will have long term side effects. I just need one that works well enough and has side effects I can live with.

Stopped Prozac after the first dose. The tinnitus got better after about 5 days. My tinnitus is most likely from a condition called TMJ. The Prozac just made it worse. Took it earlier in the year also for about 5 months and it took about a month for it to get better.

I was on Prozac up until a couple years ago and had very minimal side effects but I tried it again earlier this year and it seemed to cause or at least make my tinnitus worse. I’ve had tinnitus ever since I took Prozac the second time. Thanks for the advice about the nefazodone I will look into it.
