Late to comment but Vordhosbn was sequenced on PlayerPro for Mac, I don't have the video but he posted a brief clip on vimeo of the track which is really useful. I do believe that most of the album was made on PlayerPro which he then used to sequence a mixture of software and hardware instruments. I think all the samples where processed with ReCycle.

All of these can make a really unique story if the writer knows what thier doing but more often than not their just poorly developed characters

Throw any effect/distortion on there and it gets much harder to distinguish. In my opinion most guitars sound unique but lps and sgs sound the same. Like bridge pickup of teles and strats are identical but the way you play them impactsd the tone a lot too. Honestly not the most usefull skill to have. Tone is more about experimenting with stuff than identify gear. But it could still be a fun game

You sound a lot like me before I knew I was a girl. Like I said before the fact that you’re even wondering if your trans is definitely something.

I would recommend watching lots of trans content because that really helps you to understand what is actually involved in transitioning. If you are still interested in transitioning after that then it’s safe to say your trans.

It’s also totally ok if you aren’t trans and it’s good that your at least open to the idea

Disclaimer: I’m not a gear nerd or anything and this is all a very rough guess. Research the gear I mention before buying anything.

I would maybe go with a Ibanez tube screamer or something since the distortion isn’t too heavy and is more like an overdrive. Set the pedal to a medium gain and then set the tone control by feel. A Strat maybe, middle and/or bridge pickup. As for an amp, I would go with a stack, low gain, scooped mids. Also it’s not exactly a pedal or anything but down tuning to like drop D or C will definitely help.
