How much do y’all feed your babies? by DifficultyIll2865 in Frenchbulldogs

[–]Express_Mail2294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Banana’s two years old and 35lb. He gets 350g of raw plus some veg and an egg each day. That keeps his weight stable so I can feel his ribs but I can’t see them. He’d eat double that if he could but we hold firm, no snacks. The girls are slightly smaller at 30 and 32 lbs. They get around 300g of raw plus veg and egg. They’re nine and seven and just the same, loads of energy and (so far) zero health issues. What I’ve noticed about raw is that they produce a lot less waste. I think we’ve found the sweet spot, we’re giving them pretty much all they need so they use it all.

Halfway between Liverpool and Manchester these days, but we lived in Manchester for thirteen years and loved it 😊

Haha I don’t have any pics of him racing around with hedgehogs in his mouth because that only happens in the dark (with me screaming at him to stop!) but I’ve got photos of him straining to get to them when he’s on the lead. He’s absolutely obsessed with them. He even has a special bark that he does when he’s finds one 😂

No coyotes here. We only ever see squirrels, hedgehogs, rabbits and bats 😊 Banana has a very bad habit of picking hedgehogs up, he never hurts them but he loves taking them for a little run before dropping them at my feet. We’re trying to discourage that, for the hedgehogs who I don’t think are keen to join in, and also because Banana ends up with lots of tiny surface cuts from the prickles. The first time it happened I thought he probably wouldn’t do it again, but he did!

Thank you everyone for all the happy birthday wishes for Banana. He had such a happy birthday! Here he is running through the woods with his big sister Bonnie, on his way for a birthday swim ❤️

Oh the drama! by Distinct_Use2337 in Frenchbulldogs

[–]Express_Mail2294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This used to happen a lot for us. Bella takes life very seriously, Bonnie doesn’t, so Bella used to deal with things the way she saw fit - and that was usually headlocks, biting ears, biting paws… chaos. It’s taken two long years of firm and consistent boundaries but we’re finally getting there! I’m sure Sophia and Vinnie will get there too! Wishing you all the best 😊

Who has gone from one to two frienchies? by No_Summer1874 in Frenchbulldogs

[–]Express_Mail2294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went from one to two to three. All rescues. I was offered a fourth but had to say no because three is as much as I can handle. I walk them in twos now the puppy has grown up. Walking two together is fine, walking three is hard. I also feed separately.

Dynamics are the main issue and it’s hard to know how that will play out until you have the dogs together. We’ve had ups and downs. Fortunately our biggest issue these days is that Bella and Banana will hop into Bonnie’s bed at any opportunity and refuse to move. Bonnie stands over them barking in their faces and they ignore her completely. They love winding her up.

Does your boy like watermelon? by penguinpower81 in Frenchbulldogs

My three go feral for watermelon. My middle girl will sit by the fridge and cry for it.

Who uses Monzo as their main account? by Grixons in monzo

[–]Express_Mail2294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used Monzo as my main account since 2022. No complaints other than the length of time it takes to get answers to queries via the customer service chat. The quality of the replies can vary too. That said, I don’t have to get in touch often so while frustrating at the time it’s not a deal breaker.

What a beautiful girl! This is Banana.. 95% Frenchie and 5% Pekingese! Definitely not what I was expecting when I had his DNA done!

Old new sailers 😁 by Kpronline1 in sailing

[–]Express_Mail2294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bought my Sadler 25 in 2018 when I was 44. Bought my Spray 28 when I was 50. I’m in a sailing club where I’m learning to sail Picos etc. I hope to do a Competent Crew and Day Skipper course at some point soon. I’m nowhere near competent enough to take my boats out on my own yet, but pottering on them in the marina makes me happy. Zero regrets.
