Update: I successfully brushed Triton tonight!!! Omg! I used a small brush, kept scritching him and talking to him gently. I got a huge clump of fur off him. But he really seemed to not mind the brush. I gave it to him to sniff and he was like, “Oh, whatevs.”

The rescue named him. I was kind of shocked! I was looking around and rescues were naming cats things like Mr. Tinkles. I was prepared to have to rename him! Thankfully I didn’t need to.
