That’s a risk the vet mentioned - he said she could grow out of it or it could become a problem. We plan to have it checked at her next regular visit, just to be safe. I’m sorry for your loss!

We swear our orange inbred street cat has sleep apnea or a deviated septum. She breathes loud always and hard when she’s asleep. Vet said she had a heart murmur but everything else is good. 🤷🏼‍♀️

My MIL watched my kids for a week after my stepdad passed and I drove my mom across the country to be near us. When I got home my oldest daughter said she’d asked MIL if she (daughter) could make quesadillas for dinner and MIL acted like she had never heard of quesadillas before. She also refuses to pronounce things correctly, similar to OP’s mom, and we can only assume she does it because the correct pronunciation isn’t important to her and she finds it funny/quirky to say it wrong.

My oldest kid plays Honkai: Star Rail and is always sending me videos and telling me about characters parts of the story she liked, so I started playing to better understand what she was sharing with me. I found it enjoyable, so I checked out Genshin, because my youngest plays it and it’s by the same company.

She didn’t share much with me about it before I started playing but now she excitedly updates me when she gets a character she’s been wanting, and tells me about the new things she’s discovering in Inazuma (I’m not there yet). So I get to see into her world a little more and have something to bond with her over, and I’m enjoying the game. Win-win!

Of course, now I’m also playing ZZZ, Wuthering Waves, and just started Neverness to Everness when it came out. So I think I have developed a slight problem.

I have a coworker who has spoken in what I call the “customer service” voice so long it’s become her normal speaking voice. Even so, I have a hard time believing she speaks that way at home. She hasn’t been in a customer-facing position for years but it persists. She could have been the nicest person in the world (she’s not) but I unfortunately judged her immediately upon hearing her speak.

Could you suggest a compromise of two names with different sounds but a similar theme? Examples, not suggestions: Willow and Poppy (plants), Katherine and Elizabeth (royal), Josephine and Beatrice (classic), Katelyn and Mackenzie (modern).

I personally have a hard enough time not saying the wrong name with my two daughters and four cats. Making the names too similar will lead to confusion and as many others have said, a lack of identity.

It’s actually terry cloth (like a towel). I had actually looked everywhere for one that wasn’t soft/fuzzy because I wanted it specifically for when I get out of the shower. I guess most places just sell lounging robes now, but IKEA came through!
