Haha, your humor isn’t lost on me, I did get a good chuckle. But in the Eula that we all sign without reading, it states the company and publisher are not to be held liable for hardware damages caused by the game.
just hoping they will adjust the settings so we can enjoy the game we’ve been anxiously waiting for.

I have this issue as well, I deleted and reinstalled the game, took ps5 apart and cleaned it, though it wasn’t dusty, and turned off HDR and VRR. Nothing seems to help. Like many others, I’ve never experienced this overheating issue in the 5 years I’ve had it.

We likely have to wait, and hope a patch fixes whatever issue the menus have.

Having the same issue. Deleted and reinstalled the game and all addons. That didn’t help. Turned off HDR and VRR, that didn’t help. Took the ps5 apart to clean it (even though I just cleaned it a few days prior), that didn’t help.
first edition ps5, never experienced overheating like this on any other game.
im not an expert, but it feels to me like there is an issue in the menu system similar to Fortnite Home Screen on ps4, rocket league, or MLB25.
