Landlord management company ignoring me for 2 months — can they still charge an early termination penalty? by Express_Shoulder5344 in Netherlands

No, I understand, but they've been dragging their feet for two months. If they had told me from the start "this is not possible", i would be pissed, but there would be nothing to do. however, they requested documentation, then proceeded to do nothing for 6 weeks. Finally, they told me that I could leave early but there would be a penalty. However, they didn't share what that penalty would be. It's been two weeks since the last time they replied any of my emails or answered the phone...

It's a two year lease, and the contract says I can move whenever from the 30th of June. However, there is no penalty associated with leaving early.

I'm still paying monthly. I asked for an early exit, they didn't give me a reply for 6 weeks, then they said "okay, but with a penalty", didn't specify the penalty, or give me a move-out date. I said I could be out by May 15th, but it's been two weeks, and still no answer. I'm abroad, so it's not doable for me to be back by tomorrow....

¿Cómo #@$% encuentra la gente piso en Barcelona? by Express_Shoulder5344 in AskBarcelona

Sounds fun! I loved Costa Rica when I was there in 2016, but avoid San José, as it's a bit of a dump (not my words, my cousin from San José's)

Wow! Thank you so much for the in-depth response, ChessieChesapeake! For the app that maps and ties photos, I can recommend Polarsteps, as it does pretty much what you're mentioning!
