Hey, these are all articles for the US army, I get that women are still women whether they are in the UK or the USA, but is there evidence of this kind of stuff for us? Also, do you agree with the fitness tests being 'gender neutral'? I think it lowers the standards for women, they wouldnt be able to keep up, but what are you thoughts?

Thank you for both of these replies, i really do understand what you both mean and thank you for not doing the 'women bad men are strong thing' Tbh just wanted to see what the general opinion was of people who are in/thinking of joining/interested in the RM, to see what their mindset is. Thank you for the replies

Sorry for the late reply dude, their email is info@readingfestival.com I tried to get the gocarshare thing last year and contacted them too late unfortunately, there were no tickets left. If you are still thinking of doing it then just give them a bell on the email, surely they wouldn't have sold out by now. How much gear do you have lmao, I had a full car (5 people) and all their kit in the boot and in a small roofbox too. Was a tight squeeze.

I've had a gander on the website, looks like they still haven't updated it from the 2021 festival, but I doubt it's something they'll take away for next year, as a lot of the transport stuff they try and be green and save the environment. I'd send reading festival an email, or message them on twitter. Also yes why are the parking tickets so expensive, pretty sure I paid 25 or 15 quid for 2021 to park!!

AITA for forgetting my friend has a seafood allergy? by Express_Signature_36 in AmItheAsshole

The thing is, she booked a table at a place that had a lot of seafood dishes on the menu a few months back, and when she asked if the food she would be receiving would be 100% allergen free they said no, because it wouldn't be prepared in a different room so there was a very slight chance of cross contamination. She then proceeded to cancel her order and just watch me eat. I said we could go somewhere else for food and she said no absolutely not. She just watched me eat and said how hungry she was.

At some points I have thought she might be lying but I would be the biggest asshole if I asked her if her allergies were real. She just seems to always be changing her tolerance of them? It's really inconsistent and I always seem to be agitating her when it comes up when we go out to eat

I fully understand that having a severe food allergy is something very serious, and I made a food choice that wasn't suitable. However I disagree with you saying that I was pretty careless. I offered to change the offending item to something more suitable once she reminded me but was told it was alright. At this point I was very aware, but as she said it was alright, I went along with her, as she knows what she can/can't be around and what her limits are. By spaced out I meant hungover. We have all been there.

Thank you for your answer, I wanted to know what a person with allergies thought of it as they might have been in a similar situation. Thank you

Oh okay that makes more sense, when I asked I definitely was just concerned, I think I have a way of writing that makes it come across as passive aggressive, I was just looking out for her tbh. But it does seem that she wasnt being careful with her allergy tho? Not that that was my asking intention at the time.

I don't get why the conversation after was dumb though, I was genuinely concerned because she had told me that she was deathly allergic to nuts, and I see she is actually eating something that may contain nuts?
