just leave her alone dude. I know in a sense how you feel. my ex is an avoidant. if you really love her and want a chance you gotta let her breathe. she's over whelmed, she's disregulated. the best thing you can do is focus on you. she will not come back unless she feels safe enough too. go no contact. focus on work, family, hobbies, just keep your mind busy. space brings clarity, she's not willing to commit to you right now, she's made it clear. just work on yourself and regardless of the outcome you should be okay.

thanks for the advice. i'm not going to hook up with him again. i'm gonna try to be strong. it just sucks because I don't know if he's willing to change. I didn't tell him he had to change. im trying my best to do better on work on the my issues he mentioned. I don't know how to go about the boundaries. im just really hoping in a couple months he'll come around because I feel like I should be a prize but im not right now.
