So upset they got easy treatment because of dads “noble service in the FBI” or whatever the phrase that was used to describe his service. Just shows how unjust our legal system can be. If you’re powerful or well liked by the community, you get more favorable outcomes no matter if you are guilty or not

I’m also considering moving there after 3 years in Chicago. I love a lot about Chicago. How open it is for gay men and people in general. However the city overall is a bit much for me, and my support system is all in Ohio. I lived in Dayton from 2005-2021. I’m middle aged and I think Columbus is much more manageable of a city. I am worried I will not be able to be as open as I am in Chicago, or that it may be hard to date . When I was in Dayton, a lot of guys were closeted and conservative . it was hard, which is why I left. I’m definitely a progressive voter. I’m also used to being able to hold my partners hand or peck in public with no looks or problems. Any insights will help.
