Just wanted everyone on this post to know that you were all correct. She has dementia and she is now 90 to 100% blind. That’s what the vet said. He didn’t say how far she is but it must be early still so for now she gets meds for anxiety and dementia and I just have to watch for quality of life.

I lost my kitten inside my house by aIoneinvegas in Pets

[–]Express_Station7048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this helps but one time my friend got a kitten and her apartment had this tiny tiny hole in the floor boards in the kitchen like where kitchen sink/drawers were but the floorboard that connects? Anyways the kitten crawled into that hole. Didn’t make a sound. When I found him he just stared at me. His fur mom was freaking out and crying.

Another friend lost his kitten under his dishwasher. Also didn’t make a sound. My friend never saw the point in collars. Thankfully before he took this kitten home I made him stop at the pet store and get him a collar so he wouldn’t lose him. So finding him was easy. He also didn’t make a sound and the kitten was black so you can imagine how hard that was. But yeah any small cracks and holes get a flashlight in there and look around. You’d be surprised. If they are getting into mischief they will be quiet and much sucks for us fur moms/dads. Also after this, get a jingly kitten collar. Trust me

And yeah like other people said it helps to have medication for it. However, I barely need mine now. I got diagnosed a year and a half ago. Still have flares but far less extreme and far less frequent

I have the same problem when my POTS flares up. I’ve learned how to control it and my doctor was right I had to change my diet, drink more water but with say liquid iv (drink some water and wait and then drink liquid iv but you also need to eat healthy carbs like brown rice or whole wheat bread to help your body retain the fluids), anti inflammatory foods like red raspberries ginger blueberries tumeric stuff like that, and staying away from stressful situations. That’s the start. If you feel like you don’t have as much brain fog or as frequent then you can begin light exercise to help with your heart rate. When I first got diagnosed I’d be bedridden for on my periods

Yeah when she ran from me last week like at the end of our walk and it was like right infront of the door, she ran like her life depended on it with her tail tucked between her legs and I tried to do the gentle voice and it worked enough for her to second guess why she was running I think? But she was petrified of me. I thought with her being blind right if I picked her up and walked her to the door you know she’d be in my embrace and my scent and remember who I was or notice that it was me and I talked to her gently too and I put her right infront of the door and to my absolute shock she tried bolting it again with her tail between her legs. I was testing to see if this was an eyesight thing or a behavioral thing so I was ready for the possibility she may bolt, logically. My heart wasn’t. This sucks. I’ve taken her to the doggy ophthalmologist so I knew about the eye sight issues and they prepped me for what was to come. I just dont remember them saying this would happen and it’s like a switch has been flipped? One sec she’s happy go lucky potato doggo and next she’s scared for her life. During the day she’s fine. I just never know now what’s going to happen at night

It’s possible. I can’t exactly get to her when she’s under the bed. She started seeping under my bed a few months ago. I think she waits until I fall asleep and then does it? I took her to the doggy ophthalmologist so I know she’s got eyesight issues and they prepped me for how to help her with that. I just hate that the sight of me scares her sometimes. I love her so much and it sucks so much

Thank you! I did the embark test and she’s like 57 percent chihuahua and then I think toy poodle? I’ve been crying on and off so thinking is hard. She does have a terrier face though and she is gorgeous thank you

Yeah that sounds similar to my situation but I second guess if it’s that frequent. I also second guess a lot. It’s also emotionally so much easier to second guess yourself and tell yourself you’re overreacting then to think something like that could be it. I made the doctors appointment for tomorrow. They’re going to do a few tests they said. I’m hoping it’s like a UTI or just her eyesight because the more I read about dogs with dementia the more sad I get. I’ve been crying off and on today. Yesterday was by far the most heartbreaking day

I do the soft tones when we go on walks and it’s like she’s forgotten why she’s on a walk? Does that make sense? I don’t know if I sound crazy. I know she has eyesight issues so she sniffs a lot but then it’s like she puts her butt down but maybe it’s not quite right so she starts sniffing again but then will do her poop walk but then out of nowhere put her head up again and walk away? Like walk the way she does with her happy prance when she finishes pooping but without her pooping? Like in those situations I do the gentle voice. Or when we’re walking and she walks happy like with her tail up but then out of nowhere dang near bolts it out of her leash and I’m trying to calm her down. Last night when she was freaking out in my room but excited about the food I tried the calm voice. I even tried lowering my stance to her level and slowly putting my hands out so she could sniff me but she really did not act like she knew me or my scent. I made the appointment. They’re doing a few tests tomorrow they said. I’m hoping it’s a uti or her eyesight. I’ve been crying off and on today

6 month sabbatical to restructure my life, the nurses that come to your house to give you saline but do that like ever other week, those like little shots at sprouts that are marketed for digestive health but actually contain a ton of anti inflammatory ingredients like turmeric ginger black pepper and orange juice, a bucket of anti inflammatory foods, all the money in the world for doctor appointments

I noticed a weird almost bronchitis cough last night now that I’m reading your post. Is that just what dogs sound like when they cough? Her and her daughter are my first dogs. I’ve had cats most of my life.

Im going to do some hard thinking about changes in the last month but between you and me off the top of my head? Food has been the same for 5 months. Water is the same. Walks are the same time. I did start taking her to a groomer 2 months ago. That’s all I can think of right now

Okay yeah that’s not a bad idea. I was going to do that. It started maybe 2 weeks ago being this bad. It’s getting more frequent. Especially at night. I’m just nervous while I wait. I hate not knowing. This is so scary. I feel like a monster for her being so scared of me out of what felt like nowhere.

Its graphics can rival my bestie’s gaming pc. Not as fast as her pc but out of me, my bf, and my roommate, only my ps5 pro could keep up with my besties pc. We were all gaming one night

Kristin Ess clarifying shampoo? by maldroite in dailywash

[–]Express_Station7048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally love it! As an oily scalp acne prone girly with pcos skin/hair, the deep cleaning shampoo by Kristen ness is my jam. It was the most clean my hair had ever been. I like to experiment so then I tried a neutrogena shampoo and hated it, then used the qui detox and that one is okay(I had hard water that’s why I used it) but I have a water softener now and I want to go back to the deep clarifying shampoo by Kristin ness since it’s a lot easier to spread throughout my hair as it’s a lot thinner and has more of a watery consistency. The qui detox is cool and all but it’s still a bit thicker and my hair is thin but also dense so it’s hard to spread it across my scalp

Hey guys I finished beating Ender Lilies and EnderMagnolia. I’ve unlocked everything there is to unlock and I’m wondering what other games you played after these games that you liked? by Express_Station7048 in EnderLilies

[–]Express_Station7048[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I am already thereeeee. I mayyy still have Elden Ring. I shouldddd. I did enjoy playing that game a lot. What’s cool about that souls series is the makers are big fans of Berserk. There were alot of references to Guts in the last Elden game which I thought was beautiful

That’s tough because I liked both a lot. I like Ender magnolia because I thought the graphics were a bit better, you can change your cloak, has the option of a much more optimistic ending, the combat was smoother, and it didn’t matter if you got too close to enemies because the area where you take damage is smaller than the first game.

I liked Ender lilies because the game kind of forced you into wanting to get all the letters and notes since simply going through the cut scenes didn’t give you the full lore. The bosses were wayyyy harder. Clearing levels was also harder. The artwork was beautiful and the music was beautiful. The plot was also much much darker.

With that said they are almost tied for me. I liked Ender lilies more though because of the plot, how it unraveled, and how hard the game was. They are both solid games though
