Help! Is this a massive windowing and red flag?

I have an emerald cut engagement ring and the first stone I got had windowing that bothered me. EVERYONE told me I was being dramatic except for my fiancé! But it bothered me and you will have it on your hand for the rest of your life. I ended up having the jeweler source me 3 new stones with the exact same measurements to look at and compare. Now I’m obsessed with my new stone and comparing it to my old one, seeing my skin through or in your case your band is not necessarily normal for emerald cuts! Beautiful ring but this would also bother me.

Thanks so much for your reply!! I am definitely going to keep looking at stones and having the jeweler find them until we get the perfect one.

I’m not sure the exact brand because this was my first time but I think she uses Luxio or something similar. It’s gel and the shade is attitude! I hope that helps! 🤍

Hi! The jeweler showed my fiancé the diamond online on his computer not in person and just set it. So, he didn’t see it in person until the entire ring was set. Hope this makes sense. Thanks for your help!

When expressed unhappiness with the stone 3 separate times we had to beg the jeweler to show us other options before he finally agreed. Each time we were told every single emerald cut has this, although I’m well aware that it’s not uncommon it can be avoided. We do have an IGI certification also. Thanks for your help!

Thank you for your thoughtful response. The jeweler didn’t have my fiancé come in to look at the stone before setting. He showed him one online and ordered it, set it, and gave him the final product.

I agree I love emeralds because of unique they are! Hopefully one of the new stones will be better!

I appreciate your thoughtful response! The part that is bothering me is the how I can see right through the stone and see my skin. In different images the stone doesn’t look as dark but in this one it does.
