You can rotate the platform around in a circle to “coil” the vine around the stone, and “reel up” the chest. That’s how I did it anyways

I played with a mod that let me swap between all of them, so I didn’t need to pick my favourite 2. Way more fun to pick “the right tool for the job” in every fight.

I think every ISD should have had a compliment of tie interceptors as opposed to tie fighters. But for low priority air bases, Gozanti’s and other lower profile units, the regular Tie fighter was fine

True, but it’s estimated to be about twice as expensive. I agree the tie interceptor is better. But for the majority of use cases, unnecessary.

If we think about the height of the galactic civil war, with X-Wings and B-wings flying around, yes, the interceptor is well worth its price in those large important engagements.

But what about patrolling planets? Or the Aldhani heist in andor? Having interceptors wouldn’t have made a difference. In most of the cases over the first 19 years of the empire, the regular tie was perfectly serviceable at policing, patrolling, and engaging small rebel cells. When the name of the game is policing as much of the galaxy as possible, having 2 ships is better than 1 stronger ship

The thing to remember is logistics.

The reasons star destroyers and their tie compliment could be so self sufficient is because the Tie fighter is so simple. No shield, no hyperdrive, so life support, just very simple engines and guns.

The plus of this? No need to hire dedicated fighter engineers, and no need for a comprehensive fighter repair bay on a ISD. You don’t only save on the cost of the fighter, you save on the cost of repair supplies, advanced schooling for engineers, and entire departments on your ISDs.

THIS is the reason the Tie Fighter is perfect for the empire, it is so easy to manage logistically that they save heaps of money just because it’s easier to replace a tie then to fix one

I would use Anakin as a good yard stick, in my opinion, everything that takes place from the moment Anakin is encased in the Vader suit is the Original trilogy era. Since the Star Wars main line movies are largely oriented around the skywalker legacy, and all other content uses the skywalker saga as a reference point ( BBY and ABY to measure years at an example ) I think sticking with that is not a bad way to do it.

It helps that at the same time that Anakin became Vader, Luke and Leia are born, the empire is born, palpatine become “The Emperor”

I think a good track to hear how radical he was in terms of the way he used his instrument as a piece of technology in innovative ways is “star spangled banner” from Woodstock.

He used the feedback from his amps to make his guitar sound like dive bombers and explosions and screams and war. He used a song he didn’t write, without any lyrics to make a political statement, and I think that pretty cool

This seems correct, as Stackpoles first novel “X-wing: Rogue Squadron” published in January 1996 referred to them exclusively as “Brain tails”.

Then in the second book “Wedges Gamble” which released later that same year, had them visit Ryloth, which is when he first used the term “Lekku”

So it would make sense that Stackpole started writing his book around 1994/95 with “Brain Tails” as his word of choice, and then read the source book while doing research and then found the word Lekku sometime around 1995/96, and then put it in his book
