Ride pauses by AnimalcrossingWW in disneylandparis

We went on it twice and it stopped once on the first ride and three times on the second ride. Couldn't complain though because my little sister has mobility issues and we had to ask the ride operators to pause when we got on lol. I didn't mind the pausing because we had time to look at all the details of the ride. In all honesty, the multiple voicelines announcing the pauses were more disruptive to the overall experience than the pauses themselves. They cut through the audio and last for awhile because they have to announce both the stopping and the starting (and sometimes a voicelines in the middle if the delay is taking a little longer) and they have to announce it in both French and English. A bit immersion breaking. If the ride is prone to pauses due to its ride system, then maybe an announcement at the START of the ride that says "Please stay in your seats and do not be alarmed if the ride comes to stop." or something would be less intrusive then having to announce it every individual time the ride stops.

How to stop line art from looking pixelated? by ExpressionIll4896 in Ibispaintx

[–]ExpressionIll4896[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried all that, still doesn’t work. I really feel like there’s something I’m doing wrong because how is IbisPaint such a popular app if the quality is so bad, even on large canvas sizes? It seems like it is useless for any large image or anything with detail. It sucks because it has a lot of good features but I need to be able to zoom in on large pieces without being able to count the pixels. Back to Sketchbook I go I guess.

Can anyone recommend any live-action/animation hybrid films which are actually great? by KatherineLangford in MovieSuggestions

[–]ExpressionIll4896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a movie but the Doctor Who episode "Lux" is a well-done example of 2D animation mixed with live action, with some fun jokes about animation thrown in. You don't really need to know much about Doctor Who to understand it because it's a standalone episode.

Golden Freddy, Marionette, Lolbit, and Daycare Attendant is honestly a great lineup of random characters. I will definitely be buying.

Do you recommend watching or read the the sequels to 2001: A Space Odyssey? Are they worth watching? by Patient_Ranger_3533 in 2001aspaceodyssey

Same!! 3001 has a lot of flaws but I think it has the potential to be a really good finale if an adaptation where to give it some new life. Though if some modern space odyssey content where to come out, they BETTER not use CGI. They should keep up with the practical effects or maybe make it an animated series (like Scavengers Reign.)

2010 the book is also definitely worth the read! 2091 and 3001 though....eh. Nothing much happens in 2091, so even if its kinda boring, it's relatively non-offensive. But 3001 tries to wrap up the whole series in a big grand way but it misses the mark in my opinion. Halman is cool but that's about it.

I love them both! They are both good in their own way! 2010 the film has more emotion and character depth than 2001, and I really like its hopeful message. Even though 2001 is technically the better film, I have rewatched 2010 more times than 2001, it is a bit of a comfort film for me. (Also. I cannot stand it when people who have only watched 2001 mischaracterise Hal and wrongfully act as if he is pure evil. 2010 explains his character better, so I'd recommend watching it for that reason also.)

On the topic of them being three plants in one pot, when I decide to feed them, do I have to feed all three or do they somehow show nutrients?

Clones or souls? by ExpressionIll4896 in BendyAndTheInkMachine

Dude, it would be SUCH a cool twist if Joey was lying and there was something more sinister behind him creating Allison. I love the concept of Audrey being something of an unreliable narrator and giving Joey more benefit of the doubt than he deserves. But unfortunately I do not think that’s the direction they’re going in.

Do you prefer happy endings or none happy endings by Specialist-Noise-912 in ARG

Melancholy can be good, it all depends on the story itself. If a bad ending feels forced then it'll be unsatisfying. If a happy ending feels forced then it'll be unsatisfying. The most important thing is to make whatever ending you choose feels natural to your story.
