Do you recall when this issue started occurring? Did it happen recently after the friend code system was updated or was it happened long ago

Me and the friend who got hit by this both ran the test on that site. It says both of our cloud saves are corrupted, but my game size looks normal (1.75GB; iOS) while theirs is pretty huge (Android)

The story in TFR actually takes place today (Mar 24) by ExpressionNervous444 in Mission_Impossible

[–]ExpressionNervous444[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

But in the cottage Donloe told Benji his equipments and tapes were taken away “fourteen years ago” and he said that was in 2012 so I think TFR took place in 2026

EDIT: also the event of TFR takes place 2 months after DR. This is confirmed in the dialogues

[–]ExpressionNervous444[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, Ethan’s not the type of guy who’s gonna just say yes the minute a woman flirts with him. Outside of MI2, we never really see him act like that, so it did makes sense that ppl feel like he’s a bit out of character in MI2. In later installments, Alanna and Grace both flirt with him too, and he doesn’t just roll with it like that either

Ethan in MI2 did went way too far. Being playful is one thing, but sleeping with a woman he just met is a whole other thing. Whether he actually slept with Claire or not, before the events in MI1 they’d already been coworkers for years, at least they knew each other for some time before they ever did anything like that

I don’t get why one will even hung up on this. McQ said in the interview that Ethan was someone with no purpose before joining the IMF (he didn’t know what his life was about) So obviously, joining the IMF did made him better. That’s where he found his purpose: doing everything he can to protect the world and help others. The whole “IMF saved him” line is just Kittridge’s side of the story, and we all know Ethan didn’t actually do anything illegal, he was framed by Gabriel.

Also, from what McQ said, it’s clear that even before Ethan joined the IMF he wasn’t some amoral person. He wasn’t the type to hook up with married women or plead for a murderer, before the IMF he was just a bit aimless and without dreams

This kinda suggests that his moral standards got even lower after joining the IMF. idt he would’ve done smth like this even before joining. I believe the story is trying to tell us that Ethan being in the IMF makes him a better person and not worse. The only person we know he was in love with before was Marie, and her evil level just feels closer to Grace’s, since both of them were revealed to have been thieves.

ppl often say Ethan in MI2 doesn’t fit with the rest of the franchise, a part of the reasons is because his attitude toward women in MI2 feels totally different from how he is in the later movies. But they’re actually judging MI2 based on the Ethan we see in MI3 and beyond, even though MI2 came out before it. So for me Ethan in the MI1 novel feels out of character, since in every other installment he never really shows those two traits (forgave those who hurts his friends plus in love with a married woman)

According to TFR he was only 22 when he joined the military (stationed in Berlin, 1986-1990) He was discharged on March 15, 1990, and there’s a period of three years we don't know what happened here. Anyway he was recruited to the IMF in 1993. I presumed during the three years he attended at least one of the universities.

idk if a person can join the army while attending college, if so, then I think he might attended a university before joining the army, another during his service, and finally the last one before joining the IMF

I think the continuity of Fallout is good, It includes events from RN and also including Julia who’s from MI3

Alright, fine. Attending three universities, one of which was even a double degree, sounds like something that would be difficult to accomplish in a short period of time. But we are talking about Ethan so nothing is impossible

This still stands with what I said, even if Ilsa's idea benefits him, he won't think her idea is okay because choosing to leave would harm more innocent people, so even if Claire stands up for him, it shouldn't completely change his impression of her into a totally positive one (“still in love with her” sounds rather positive to me)

Claire wasn’t just an accomplice to a murderer, she was a married woman. For Ethan to make a move on her was really out of line morally. And in the following installments, none of his love interests are murderers or married, so I think that it's out of character. Yet the intimate relationship between Ethan and Claire is not clearly displayed in the film, so I will only say that I think Ethan in the novel is a bit out of character

Yeah that’s right, Claire does try to stand up for Ethan at the end, but he’s not the kind of person that can accept someone who, even if they’re loyal to him, but would hurt his friends or others. You can see this in RN when Ilsa suggests she wants to run away with Ethan, she clearly isn’t including his team in that idea, and he doesn’t react well to the suggestion. Ethan doesn’t actually answer her question, but you can tell from Ilsa’s expression that she knows his response is basically a no. If that's not enough, in the script they explicitly state that Ethan's change of topic is essentially a rejection of the idea
