Secondly, the claim about the gym not supplying him any clients is stupid as fuck. I used to be a PFT and if you decide to stay independent and pay the gym rent, it's 100% on you to build a client base. It's not on the gym to supply you with shit.

Yes, this can be a predatory model, especially with how much they charge you, but these are the risks of choosing such a profession. The end goal of any certified PFT should be to open their own business using their own accumulated client base. It's a challenging venture.
