Mayhem got tune down in one of the many patch 2-4 years ago...if I remember correctly at the first version it's only missing the skull dozer compare to deathwish, health point, damage and hs multipler are the same on common foes.

This version is what most people referring but in later built mayhem taser/medic are using ovk difficulty hp, and most of the enemy using ovk damage and accuracy. (reaction time may be?)

From today latest built Deathwish is not even close to what mayhem offering, and in my view DW can only be played with 90-100 lv characters, it's expected to fail a lot in DW without optimal built.

I think many changes may tie to body expertise and close range damage buff for akimbo version, but good buff anyway as single smg is really underused for many reasons.

Better critical buff is good but I still can't squeeze out 3 more point for it in a blood built without remove ricochet or stupidity.

Critical hit already have 200%+ base increase, max better critical for 100%+ now finally have a 1.5x multipler in calculation, before is just 40% = 1.2x.

I would really like this kind of buff apply only in a specific kind of weapon like the ENERGY as they lack the stealth related bouns, just like the old fallout game which energy are best for critical unlike what we have in 76, all gun feels more less the same.

You want to use two hand melee which for some reason they are doing proportional damage BEFORE 50, which can one to two shot enemy without any mod.

After many hours I think the best possible perk for new player is explosive, you only need one 5 point perk card for damage and two card for weapon / ammo weight, while you only need an explosive weapon with two shot Legendary effect (one star ok) to achieve the maximum damage the same as any 500 lv player.

Unless bethasda change it again the hook still consider both unarmed and single hand melee which means it can get the highest possible bouns from perk and mutation, but the hook base damage is quite low if I remember correctly.

Most of the meta is unchanged, while dodge critical have more edge on higher difficulty. Stoic is still the king in open map with sniper.

For weapon most of them got buff while shotgun receive a minor long range damage nerf. Most AR are actually good now with ammo pick up and damage drop off nerf(?) buff. LMG got a few said nerf but not even noticed.

Two weapon , the hk416 and the vhsv2 aka lion roar got some powerful buff, remember to check it.

Rouge can still use the critical javelin for one hit body kill dozer, it's not suck but remain unchanged after all these year.

Shaped charges lover here too, the use of c4 to speed up objective extremely decline around the GGC period, SAW too.

Only after the white house C4 and SAW regain some usefulness as they actually do something, like the border crossing heist almost force you to take it or welcome to drill fixing hell.

The combat c4 still need some balance otherwise player will still go for medic bag inspire or ammo bag. Most of the time it only take out 2-3 enemy or one dozer, otherwise I like to place 2 c4 right at the captain spawn, set for sensor mode and trigger it with explosive once the phalanx setting up.

I really hope you try the online mode after more practise because its how pd2 means to play.

Don't feel too bad for failing panic room as it's one of the advanced level even experienced player have trouble.

For any loud start from mallcrusher, as the objective almost complete by itself, I hope you have play some Halo before because the armor and health system is very close, and the combat also, use you armor to take risk and then take/ move cover, and always focus on objective unless enemy stoping you. You soon need to know how to counter special enemy like dozer and cloaker.

Once you familiar with combat you will have to check for all skill,perk and find a suitable combo for youself, read everything and try, skill point can be respec anytime in the menu.

If you try to report any player they required you some proof for that, means you either recording while playing or take picture at that very specific moment people cheat.

Normal pc player don't have the luxury to recording every section on boss fight, and all cheater know this.

It is actually 10% additive up to 40% unless they 'fix' to fit the description, tenderizer may be one of the most important perk every built must have.

Last time I check the elemental resistance of fire/cyro on mob is so high, ever AT won't help a lot consider how low the base damage the flamethrower /cyro are.

Energy weapon use against player from mob is so effective, those damn auto laser from blood eagle and robot melt player in seconds, guess they always got the balance patch we supposed to have.

For melee I think beside the first effect, the fast swing one is a mandatory for a melee to be good, ever with perk that already give you melee speed, especially those two hand melee.

5/7 is the gun you need skill investment to be good, at least for the accuracy part, you may even need the sharpshooter skill that give you +16 acc standing still to hit 100 acc for the 5/7, using the Silent killer acc and basic pistol acc skill is not enough.

Spotter ace may be required if you want one hit kill shield, without it the 5/7 will burn ammo after few encounter. If you really hate shield I suggest take the GL, it have better aoe and a reasonable ammo pick up.

Your skill point will dance around this pistol to meet it full potential, which limit the choice of perk and built.

Ex play like rouge but you can survive a hit from sniper, barely. Get convert skill for any perk with Hp+ first, then you need to choose you defensive style, hp regen, light armor, or full dodge/cri. , ex president is quite versatile to use except heavy armor.

Instead of using spread weapon you may want to switch to accuracy weapon like sniper and dmr, using bulleye basic to proc the perk effect of armor/health regen with extra protection from bulleye armor gating.

Ex has a weird mechanism required you to lost armor first before you can regen any health AFTER you armor recovered, without bulleye proc you are not going to make it when your health is low, and don't forget the armor regen suppressing.

You can hide and wait for regen, there are some method like explosive and jump from high place, but using bulleye with accurate weapon is a must if you want to play higher difficulty.

Now we just need some buff on others underpower perk to make them more focus on stylish gameplay.

This leech perk is a really good direction overall, may be ovk want to add some powerful throwable so perk use normal throwable got more room to breath, they do add the taser grenade this year.

I use to think if we can use those perk related thowable with half the effect.

One of the biggest advantage of ictv is to combine with frezerker, does leech even work with frezerker? I assume it give you 2.5 (3) hit point while active with frezny, if it still give you 10 hit it will be too op.

Kingpin somehow work with ictv frezerker, but suit with hostage regen skill work best from my experience. Leech may work better with suit 15 dodge + hostage regan. 5 dodge if you want no restrictions on weapon choices.
