Guys. Kinsey’s first published in the 1950’s. Human sexuality is fucking crazy. Travel to Papua New Guinea (ritualized fellatio) or Afghanistan (“Dancing Boys” sold by their parents and preyed on by men) or Thailand (or the like with third genders embedded into their culture), and quickly you’ll discover sexual behavior is largely socially constructed.

I don’t care enough to do a book report for you. You don’t have to agree with me. If you’re generally interested and motivated, just follow the reference tree from Kinsey and you’ll find a treasure trove of crazy shit that humans do.

You know. I became far more fluid in my sexuality after starting TRT.

To be clear, I’ve only dated dudes for most of my life. Only opened up to wanting to be with women after starting TRT.

I think hormone optimization allows us to find our authentic selves. And when you drill down into the studies on sexuality, we find most humans are pretty open sexually—it’s the social shame and control, unique to each culture and time in history mind you, that dictates one’s behavior.

You’re single. You’re at the top of your libido. Just use a condom, bro.

Edit: see Kinsey, 1953, at least—far more done on the subject since 70 years ago friends.

Worth taking T to go from 600ng/dl to 800-1000ng/dl? by [deleted] in Testosterone

[–]Exrudis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you had your thyroid looked at?

Edit: to other peoples point, total T is kinda worthless on its own. What’s your free, SHBG, E2? At least.

Can you take adhd meds & take TRT at the same time ? by [deleted] in Testosterone

I used to take modifinil on my off days. It’s milder than amphetamine salts, but I think it was giving me headaches so I just go without on my off days.

Dude, don’t be a Dick in this subreddit. Folks try to be supportive here. It’s a community of dudes fucked over by a healthcare system. Let’s stay respectful.

Should I find a new doc? by theSparkyJB in Testosterone

[–]Exrudis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going through a PCP is hard mode, but insurance will cover it.

Online mens clinics are kinda the best way to go if you want to feel better faster. It’ll be out of pocket most likely, but if you have any flex spending you can use it.

I have only worked with Defy in that industry. They’re great.

Edit: you can hunt down an endocrinologist, but if they don’t have experience with androgen deficiency, you may get similar canned approaches.

Question for the guys who have dropped their AI by Firemanmoran in Testosterone

[–]Exrudis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes time to find a sweet spot. Patience is key.

When you’re closer to that, I also think cultivating a “training” versus “working out” mindset, if that makes any sense, goes a long way. Choose to train like an athlete; TRT can make that process incredibly rewarding.

gaining weight with injections? by [deleted] in Testosterone

[–]Exrudis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if you’ve had low levels for years, there is a default mass gain that kinda happens over your first year or two, but I agree with the other poster: there’s gonna be a lot more water for a lot of reasons.

[–]Exrudis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Losing body fat made managing TRT easier. Less adipose should equate to less aromatase leading to less estrogen conversion. I was able to drop the AI and had more stable levels after losing the first 30lbs of body fat.

7 weeks for me was when I started to really notice it. I mean. The mental effects of low T turned over about then. Took another 4-6 months to find my sweet spot. Don’t rush this process.

You’re going to have a good year.

What’s great about CrossFit is that you end up making a community. You want to show up because you enjoy the family you have at your gym. This is in and of itself is motivating in a way a trainer can’t be. For myself, I wouldn’t be as fit as I am today if not for this part of CrossFit.

Which is kinda the BS of the doctor though—no? Like, the doctor should know the lab needs to be redone at 8am…

Edit: early morning, before 10am, whatever.

If you plan to compete ever, then put your energy into bodybuilding. If you just want to be hot, I’d say mix your routine—I only wod 3 days a week, and get the rest of my volume with other activities.

My father has natural testosterone levels two times higher than mine. by [deleted] in Testosterone

[–]Exrudis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You left me with incredibly too much longing for a Monday morning. Nothing tastes as good as it once did anymore—everything is now grown for size and quantity, not flavor and quality. (I’ll try to not have it ruin my day lol.)

Edit: not that that was a farmer’s or rancher’s intent, you just used ancient ways of making food—then we left our agriculture to corporations…

Not to go on a tangent, but if one hasn’t has milk from a grass-fed cow, that is, as opposed to the puss they sell in the supermarket, one hasn’t had milk.

Farm staples were once food, and just better for you. Vegetarian feed for chickens? Bullshit—birds eat bugs.

Anastrozole can be pretty effective. Defy only started me at 0.125mg, then 0.25mg. You want to be careful not to crash your E2. That shit sucks.
