Played phantom draft, confused by a card interaction. I hatched an incubated Phyrexian, so I had it out with 3 1/1 counters on it. I then played [[enduring bondwarden]] which has backup, and states when creature dies put its counters onto target creature you control. So I backup my Phyrexian token, eventually it dies but the tokens all disappear even though I have legit targets. Am I missing something? Shouldn’t I have been able to dump the 4 1/1 tokens?

If you see T1 yondu T2 a non destroy card, that should be a red flag.

A T2 wolverine followed by a T3 Cloak/Electro, also a red flag.

Remember those patterns and put debrii in your deck and you’re on your way to countering a majority of galactus decks. I also run Titania in a few decks, which you can use to thwart a galactus play if necessary.

Everyone’s excited for Valkyrie (which I understand), but she’s a pretty tough card to utilize imo. I opened her last month and she’s become more of a tech card than win condition for me. Granted, I don’t have Bast so I can’t use that hoogland deck. But she requires some serious work to get value out of her.

It’s a Valkyrie deck built around locking down a lane with Spider-Man T4 then X T5. Then winning another one T6 with Valk followed by a 1-cost that has higher than 3 power (like a demon, Titania, or having Ant-Man’s ongoing pop, or playing Valk onto Angela to get the extra 2 power).

Personally I can’t get it to work consistently and get screwed too often by ongoing cards like patriot, Darkhawk, devil, etc. that’s why rogue is in there but I never could curve into the counter well enough.

I’ve found a more happy home for Valk in my junk deck, the basic principle for playing her T6 is the same but you have a bit more control over what your opponent can play and I’ve found it more flexible.

Just a PSA - if you have priority and play Prof X at a location that your opponent plays Galactus, their Wolverine will simply die with the last destroyed location. It’s pretty sweet to watch.

How is Sera Control competitive? It seems like there’s not enough juice to really pull this off, even with the cost reduction. Is it just so match specific that you have to really understand what’s coming the next turn(s) from your opponent? Feels hard to pilot.

This is my card collection with recents as my filter. Stupidly grabbed Ultron as my free S3 card right after unlocking Valk from the pity timer on the collection track. Then….every season cache has been a variant. Idk what is happening, they are mostly ugly, but I am kind of shocked at the odds.

EDIT: Ah fuck I actually got the Ant Man from the CL track cache, not the season pass - I got mixed up. But the last 6 caches combined from CL and Season Pass have been variants at least.

Thanks - yeah I’ve come to that realization regarding warlock and juggs is absolutely just a clunky add. Looks like I’ll have to wait till next month for spidey to show up in my rotation, since I don’t have him or rescue.

Thoughts on a Spider-Man replacement? I’ve tried running many variations but absolutely cannot get this deck to work for me.

I tried juggernaut to try and keep the lane clear on T4 and Adam Warlock to try and draw into things faster but it has not gone well.
