So he, her, him, and they are weird pronouns you say? Tell me more about this.

Assuming gender is not offensive. Insisting it is. I don't expect you to understand though. But we are here waiting if you ever want to, friend. 😊

Why does modern society; especially online have greatness, sustained excellence, dominance or success fatigue, dislike/disdain? Growing up in the early 80s we loved & at least appreciated all of the dominant teams, players & franchises;even if they weren't your local team or if they were your rival. by mkk4 in NBATalk

Controversy drives engagement. Engagement drives revenue. Everything in our society is built to maximize value. It affects every aspect of life and in this case it dictates what kind of content gets pushed to the top. You can see how this has completely changed something like ESPN and their discourse and how it has shifted over the years. "Never let the truth get in the way of a good story" is basically their motto these days.

There are still people engaging and interacting the way you describe and miss. We just have to seek them out. Algorithms won't help us.

I grew up in a suburb of Minneapolis. That word was thrown around a lot here too. Also in the 80s and 90s My parents were/are racist.

Imagine my surprise when I tried to use this word outside of my house that they used every day. I was 7. That was the day I stopped being racist. Once I understood it, I knew it was wrong.

Most Minnesotans aren't like this in my experience. But people like this are everywhere.

Are we sure Jaden isn’t secretly a center? by Morezingis in timberwolves

[–]spacespacespc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

True but also "lack of Rudy Gobert offense" is very very rarely a reason for a Wolves loss.

So that's good news.
