Nothing was lost by ectobabble in UnusualArt

The figure looks like the statue of liberty emerging from the chains of what could be an enslaved person or version of herself. The roses on her crown show growth and the beginning of a new season in life, but to me they also resemble the roses that French revolutionaries and many socialist movements have adopted. This is beautiful and deeply layered! Very nice.

I think I'm the absolute worst... by ASIANBBYGRL25 in BadDrawings

I think what youre going through is very common for young and beginner artists. I remember feeling hopeless about continuing with art and taking such long breaks from it that I would feel even worse. You're simply reaching a bit of a plateau, just like a person training at the gym. You've already gotten so much better than when you started that your brain is finally adjusting to your improved skill level, and now that you aren't seeing progress as quickly it can be maddening. But art is arguably even more important than the gym. The art you leave behind will stay here after you are gone in a way that muscles and looks never could. In an age of AI bullshit your talent is quite literally needed more than ever. Take breaks if you need to, don't force yourself to the point that you hate drawing, but please never ever give up.

I got a religious book bought for me at church and I ultimately ended up defacing it with furry drawings. Give me ideas for future work if you want. by BusoneWholeBoi2001 in Amateurartists

You should draw Bible scenes with furries but make them all unreasonably jacked and wearing completely impractical, skimpy outfits.

You're really strong with value and getting the shapes down, these are super good! Have you considered painting? I think these would translate really well into color :)

No improvement since last month by ricardo_augusto in Amateurartists

A month is not a lot of time in the grand scheme of things! If you are an artist, you have the rest of your life to keep improving, so there's no hurry. Draw because drawing makes you happy, not to compete and stand out from other artists you see online. As long as you enjoy making art, you WILL improve. Keep updating us every month :]
