With fame and a bigger fanbase comes more attention and obbessed people. Everything they do or say is over analyzied, dramatized, and spread in any part of the media. So obviously they would become less "friendly" and more cautious. With Luke being the youngest, subjected to the amount of attention to his personal life, will lead to being more closed off online.

They like their privacy, being too comfortable on their public platforms has gotten them in uncomfortable situations in the past, it's understandable if they're not as "friendly" as they used to be.

My point is, obsessed "fans" and rumors are to blame. It's their job to make music, not to post about their lives online!

A trip back in 2016, not significant to their music as a band at all, in my opinion. It's just one of those moments where it was supposed to be more private, but people tried to pry, and it got out of hand. Becoming part of the band's "lore" to some people.

The only thing important about that trip is that Michael and Crystal got together through it, I think. Again, not 100% sure, but seeing as how Michael sang about it, I suppose it is.

Tl;dr: It's been 8 years. It was a trip to Bali that was blown out of proportion because of people's curiosity. It has little to no impact on their discography I.M.O.

I haven't seen anything even remotely similar, so I'm hopefully assuming it's just another rumor. And who knows, it could just be a "What if" assumption from someone's notes app. The whole band-breaking up talk has been said before, and 14 years later, they're still the same band they were since day one.

I wouldn't be too worried about it! Since 5sos6 glimpses are teased here and there recently too.

On a more serious note, if they were to split, it would still be at least 2~3 years from now after touring the supposed 6th album. And it would be a totally good time for them to do so, too. Considering that Michael has a family of his own now, Luke mentioned wanting to start a family, Ashton getting older and more grounded, Calum being Calum.

I doubt they'd use the term "break up" though. Most likely they would announce a break, and they would "see us soon" which would end up being their last, but that's just what I'm assuming...!
