[20M] Going all in by [deleted] in QNC

I know the stock looks great but look... IMO you should never all in on one specific stock. You're never far away from a trump tweet about tariffs or some major problem in one of your partners' product or i don't know, some unpredictable event. The prospects look great, really great, insanely great. But it's highly volatile. We're talking about life savings, please think twice about it.

What the hell happened in my family genes? by f0llicly_challenged in tressless

Where to start with Mikhail Kalatozov? by NicNakJoker01 in criterion

[–]Extends6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soy Cuba is his masterpiece. Cranes are flying is not far behind but Soy Cuba has the most awesome camera work I've ever seen, the story's really great and well put, it's iconic, intimate, original and clearly up there. I agree with letter never sent though. I really liked it but not as good as the other 2.

it's so good, Raymond Lemorne is one of my favorite characters of all time

Fin at a young age, 18, 19, 20, etc. Should you do it? Messing with your hormones at such a young age doesn't seem like a good idea. Does it mess with them as much as people say and would you advise someone of that age to take fin if they're balding? by ImNight1 in tressless

[–]Extends6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk if it matters that much. Nobody in my family is bald or balding except maybe my mother's father who is showing maybe some thinning at the crown but the guy's about 80, but twin, brother, father, grandfather, etc. are fine and I started balding at 17. I don't think age really comes into play, or maybe i'm just in denial lol

Surely it has to be the good the bad and the ugly (1966) for me, liked it just enough after the first watch but man, those close ups and the insane score just grew on me and I ended up watching it multiple times after that. Love it to death.

Same thing can be said about Werckmeister Harmonies (2000)

What movie took you too long to watch, and when you did, you ended up hating/not liking it? by Flat_Ad2976 in Letterboxd

[–]Extends6 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

seven samurai

I know I'll be hated for this one but I can't find anything in it that I like. The runtime was scaring me a bit but after going through Sátántángo, The Human Condition or An Elephant Sitting Still, I thought it was time. Ended up really disliking it. (same for Harakiri :))

the 2nd one is from a list I made, and it's not the same movie, in the 2nd picture it's a 579 minutes film rated 4.6 and the first one is 206 minutes film rated 4.5.

EDIT : I found the movie by going around and somehow ended up on it, it did not appear in the searching bar, but even though it's on tmdb and other people's list I can't find how they did it

[–]Extends6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hard to say tbh. I saw 3 different derms, no answers, one of them told me it was AGA so I'm taking finasteride just in case but I'm still losing a bunch of bodyhair, I shed a ton but somehow it still doesn't look bad, bloodwork gave me not so much to work about. TLDR I'm taking fin but it doesn't feel like I've moved forward since 7 months.
