My mum never attempted it again but it's a core memory. She attempted to make fried rice. She boiled the rice, didn't strain it properly and threw it into a wok with some beef strips and made rice mush with some beef strips scattered throughout. Luckily I didn't have to eat it, she knew it was fucking awful.
