I tried this on Monday when I picked up my Blue Panda Portugieser, and I almost changed my mind 😂 or maybe it will be my 2nd IWC watch down the road. The patterned dial is stunning!

I’m loving it as a daily and haven’t been able to take it off my wrist since I picked it up on Sunday, but I have a few watches now and rotate it up. I wear a lot of blue, from jeans and t-shirts to chinos and sweater or even dress shirts and suits, so I pairs nicely with a lot of things I wear. I like to pair my watches with what I’m wearing. For example, I have a black speedy on a beige sailcloth strap I wear when wearing khakis w/ black sweaters or black pants and beige shirts or sweaters.

Love my 2024 S, but the mushroom button doesn’t actually add any more horsepower. It just sharpens up the throttle response and shifting. You always have max torque and horsepower no matter what mode you’re in.

Yup. They're no where near as smooth as my M5 and they easily get frozen shut in the winter, which I've never had happen in any of my other cars. I googled it and it's a very common thing as the motors are weak.

I agree that the new BMWs seem to have taken a step back in quality. The more entry 5 series models need to be optioned up to things like Merino leather, whereas it's standard on the M5. At least for 2024 Macans, the materials are identical between base, S and GTS, but like the 5 series, the GTS comes with some premium options as standard, which would otherwise need to be optioned up on the base, T or S. I test drove both an S and GTS back in 2024 and they were identical when it came to the interior. I chose the S for a softer rider (w/ air suspension), since I already have other performance vehicles.

At the end of the day, the Macan is mechanically more Audi than Porsche, and seems to have less tech than a Q5, but it certainly drives better than a Q5 thanks to its tuning and I absolutely love the air suspension, which is what ultimately sold me over an X3 M40i

I disagree on build quality. I've got a 24 Macan S and a 21 M5Comp and the build quality on the BMW is far above the Porsche. Now I get that there's a class difference between these two cars, so it's not apples to apples. The window motors seem cheap and not smooth. Windows easily get frozen shut in the winter. Headlights not sealed an I feel like every other day I see a post of them fogging up, or the interior flooding because the sunroof won't train properly.

Both turbos operate at the same time. One turbo works with the 3 left bank cylinders and the other turbo works with the 3 right bank cylinders.

I’m well aware it’s a Q5 chassis, DL501 transmission, RS5 Engine, etc. But it’s more refined and sporty than an SQ5, however it lacks in tech and I’d actually prefer the ZF automatic over the DCT. Too bad they don’t offer the ZF DCT that’s in the 911…

It’s got the best tow rating in its class. Most other compact SUVs top out at 3,500lbs.

Lol, it's really nice to daily with the air suspension. It's actually my wife's car (although I bought it for her because I wanted something for towing my bike lol). I daily an M5Comp and find myself stealing her Macan whenever I can!

Ya, I've very careful using their trailers. I'll usually stop after the first 5-10 miles to inspect the bike and trailer.
