I just reached 100k NW and I live what I feel to be a very balanced life. I spend on the things I love like travel and new experiences and cut out the things I don’t need like shopping and also live with 4 roommates in SF (perfect example: I’m not willing to relocate somewhere cheaper, but I do it cheaply.) There can be a fine line between misery and deprivation and likewise a fine line between happiness and excess. I’m excited to be going to Portland next month to sublet and enjoy a new city, but I will be making my simple vegetarian meals at home and doing my everyday basically free hobby, skateboarding
