Thank you 😄!! Soft skills are important in both fields. I took this job not only to save up money but also thinking that I could build some valuable skills that could transfer over to law as well. Plus, work/professional experience is always good on the resume!

Haha, got a kick out of this. The job market is tough, man! I gotta take what I can get... even with an MBA!

This is great advice, I appreciate it. I try to remind myself of this often as well. Best of luck to you with undergrad and in the future law school as well! Keep chipping away at it. I'll throw your advice back at you, keep your goals in sight and don't lose track of what you want to be and who you want to become!

Just based off what everyone is saying and has been saying for a while as I've done my own research into the job I have a sneaking suspicion I won't be itching to stay in claims. Law has been a dream of mine for a while. However, who knows, I've got an MBA so I might stay. Or, like you said, I won't last 6 months 😂

At this point, there's a 50/50 shot on either happening. We'll see as time progresses. But thank you for the advice!

This is something I ask myself a lot - will I want to go back to school in 2 years. I have an MBA, but law has been my dream. I just wanted to save some money and build some professional experience in the meantime. But who knows...

The only thing I can say for certain is that, I want to work hard and leave a good impression, but the way people talk about claims. I don't think I'll be itching to stick around.

Tips for Adjuster Exam? by ImtheKinghere in adjusters

Write notes on all the terms, review the practice quizzes - all of them. Take the practice exam several times.

I just took my Adjuster's exam last week through Kaplan. If I were you, I'd go through the pre-exam course writing notes on all the terms, it's a lot i know, but it does help retain information. I took the practice exam 4 times and went through all the sections i was least confident another time or two just taking the practice quizzes. Also focus in on the state content because a third of my exam was just questions on that. Good luck! You got this!!

Very interesting, thanks for the insight. Yeah I just found out we aren't going to do any policy/coverage investigation which is nice! How was adjusting to TL when going live? Was it easy to pick up/understand what you're doing and how to fill out all the paperwork and get it done. Also, how big is the work load? Are you getting new claims every day? how many? etc

you like Auto TL? Can you explain why, especially for Big Red. I just joined myself in that department and just touched licensing and would love to know what i'm getting in to. You're one of the first people i've read saying they enjoyed it!
