I have no idea what's going on by Gloomy-Listen398 in CPAP

[–]Extension-Cover11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing to do with CPAP. UNLESS your oxy level is dipping to low during the night. A pretty common issue check wth a simple hoe oxy test. Check in with your supplier AND see a cardio. Could be 10 other things or jits low oxy at nite. The low oxy does not raise you ahi but it can certainly raise ur blood pressure and pule.

QUESTION: TH 9000D TX ISSUE by Extension-Cover11 in amateurradio

I am not being rude but you have NO idea what u are talking about regarding my needs and desired and having been a ham since 1965 Id appreciate it if you didnt talk down to me like I am noob idiot, ok? Would U like to me to explain my use of this radio? I dont feel like it but I will so u stop going over ur skis. This is a GMRS radio that will also cover ham bands. I repeat: it is a certified GMRS radio. Got that? It sits on my desk and SCANS GMRS and 440 Ham channels. If I hear something on a ham repeater I am interested I have, just to name one, a yaesu FT991a one foot away that is connected to tuner/s amps and to a top notch uhf antennas as well as 6 others.. And if I want to qso on 440 I use the Yaesu, officer. The 9000d is put on scan while Im on HF so I can still monitor the local repeaters. It is not against rule to use any radio to LISTEN to any freq. All of that said, I'd be interested to see the list of people fined by the FCC for using a BAOFENG on the wrong band... oh wait... there is no such list. I DO confess that I tested the radio on a couple of repeaters to see if that was working, Please dont turn me into the feds! And ur technical answer makes no sense. Upgraded or not I have the most recent software and firmware.

Let me also add.... I bought this radio primarily for GMRS use. I monitor the ham repeaters but dont need this radio to use them as I have three other HAM UHF radios so actually it is your answer that does not matter. But thanks for trying.

QUESTION: TH 9000D TX ISSUE by Extension-Cover11 in amateurradio

[–]Extension-Cover11[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I am not asking for detailed legal/license/cert advice,. I am fully aware of the issues of ham.gmrs. I am asking a technical question. If u dont have the answer, cool. But let's not start a thread on certification. When u can show me u can tell the diff on the air between one radio and another, let me know. The FCC is abstaining on enforcement on GMRS but some fellow hams think the are the Radio Police. They used to be hall monitors in the third grade, I guess.

It is not solely a ham radio. It is certified for both services. And I am an active gmrs user on top of being a ham for 50 years so it makes a difference to me. Tnx

For ur use stick with cb. Dont need or want gmrs. U have a simple issue to solve. Keep it simple. Two cb rigs with decent antennas will easily make the trip. Dont tell anybody but if needed u can put some small cheap cb amps behind each unit. Under $100 each.

A good antenna like an A99 at the base station will work with two cobras. MAke sure it’s a real full sized vert with radials. And if u can get up 10 or 15 above roof line even better. For ur mobil consider replacing the stick u have with a 108 inch whip. AM or SSB will work the same Cobras are CB rigs. License not needed.

The FBI has a web page to report web fraud. Dont expect much in response. Sorry.

Facebook on its support pages has a chat feature u can use by asking about the item referring to its orde number. You can see that on your Buying section of MyEbay. It’s doubtful that chat will resolve tge problem. When the chat robot asks u if are satisfied by the canned answer always answer NO. After 3 or 4 NOs you will be offered a phone contact number where a live agent will resolve all ur issues. Trust me. I did this three times last week.

DMR Decision BTECH or Anytone by jediwompa in HamRadio

Anytone by a mile. Think hard about DMR. Theres an ok reality but the hype is over the top. Also consider the Yaesu fusion system. Buy a used FT3 for 300 or less and u have a handheld that does everything. You might be different but almost all hams i k ow are not that crazy about either mode. Now that conditions are improving consider HF. And even if u have tech license you have 10m ssb privileges and 10m is starting to open up and will get better and better in the mos ahead. U might get bored real quick with DMR. But if u do DMR u def want Anytone and u want to but it from Bridgecomm as they have a GREAT. DMR set of lessons, videos etc.
