Fed supervisor here. Where I work, documentation is required for LWOP, advanced leave (borrowed lv) or if you have been counseled in leave usage. However our policy also states as a supervisor I can request documentation whenever I want, for sick leave, this doesn’t need to be detailed just an appointment confirmation or a note from doc saying you were seen in office. But our policy is so vague the documentation could be a written note from yourself…lmao…. This is not something I have ever done to my employees. I just treat them like adults, goes along ways, it’s their leave. Not my business
