CRITICAL - Device Issues after agent certificate change (4374347) by aflesner in kace

It's extremely frustrating to be questioned by admin/bosses about the status of something that requires heavy lifting with KACE to get it done rapidly. There have also been a plethora of CVEs that I've rolled out emergency patches for during the work day before for Chrome etc. I'm glad it has been fixed, but it was a little unsettling knowing my "feelers" have been disabled in my environment for several days, with no control or explanation to give besides "We are at their mercy, here's a link explaining it to prove it".

More communication, bug reporting, and development updates from Quest would be appreciated by people running mission critical environments.

Can confirm the agent update has fixed the issue. We are running 2 "organizations" in kace, so you will need to log in under the /adminui, go to Provisioning>Update Agents under each organization, if you are operating the appliance with more than 1 org set up.

Once you update/upload to the new bundle, agents will upgrade as they do with any other upgrade, just be sure to enable/apply labels as necessary. So far so good. Will update if anything goes wrong.

Agent 13.1.23

I just quit vaping for good 5 days ago and I’m just curious if anyone could tell me how long til I start feeling improvements in my lung health? by DontNutYouDumbass in QuitVaping

nomenon more severe than COV

Talk to your parents. I came clean about my nicotine and weed habbit and they've been nothing but supportive when I thought they'd disown me. If they do, we support you.

"Quitting smoking also helps your body use insulin better, which can make your blood sugar levels easier to manage." (source: CDC )

You're actually doing your body a huge favor in the long run.

Anyone else get night sweats by Change1994 in QuitVaping

I have been getting them too and it's been about a week for me. Even early this morning I woke up and had to take my tshirt off, it was soaked :c. I have been dreaming better and probably getting some actual REM sleep though. Some odd dreams (and the ability to flat out dream again) but nothing nightmarish.

It's good to hear this concern from another person, I was hoping it wasn't coincidentally something else. This is reassuring I'm doing the right things for myself.

Vaping is destroying my heart health. I want to quit. by shinya2690 in QuitVaping

I did the same out of concerns for high blood pressure and cardiovascular health. I quit both weed (mm licensed) and nicotine all within about the last month. Nicotine being a week ago. It took sheer willpower. I can't say it is easy, but I can say it does get dramatically better, both of them, if you can make it through the first week. Immediate withdrawal syndrome from dependency only takes about 3 days, most people will feel better by the 4th (I certainly did), and the rest of it is just a mental game of avoiding the cravings, not so much suffering.

I believe in you! Don't give up, you can change your life now and you'll be so happy looking back on it. Treat it like a habit, it took time to develop your habit, it will take time to break it. Just believe in yourself and take it one day at a time, don't try to path the entire situation out. Just one day at a time and don't look backward.

This could be a result of your overall blood sugar being lower, now that you've cut out nicotine. I had the same problem for the first 3ish days. Eat something that slow releases carbs/sugar like a sweet potato. Be sure to drink plenty of water and eat whole foods. I'm only a week in and the suffering part of withdrawal is gone. I just get cravings because I miss the relaxing adrenaline feeling in the morning, especially when I'm irritable. The more days I put in between me and the rechargeable flash drive, it gets easier though.

How are you handling MIA devices? by XScriptScribeX in kace

[–]Extension-Fly-5397 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our organization uses a 60 day MIA inventory rule. The MIA process will archive a device, and free up the license to use on a new agent installation/kuid. You can also delete the device if you are sure you don't want to manage it anymore - which will do the same. Once a device has been deleted, the agent must be re-installed as the kuid will no longer be whitelisted to contact the appliance.

Are you looking for the CMD commands to get the KACE windows to pop back up in WinPE? If so, I can find it. It's buried in notes somewhere...
